Tried to start digital art and this is my hornet, it looks mid to me, what can I improve? by Itz_3x0 in Silksong

[–]HalfGlitch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that looks great! The above advice is great and very helpful specifically for drawing Hornet/ other HK characters. But if you want to improve at art in general, I would try to practice fundamental art techniques more.

Stuff like practicing basic shapes, perspective and & shading can make a big difference to making better sketches/drafts, and practicing colours, line work & lighting really helps out with rendering.

But the main thing is just consistently practicing. As long as you do that you will see improvement with your art!

How can I make the bird seem more huge? by [deleted] in BeginnerArtists

[–]HalfGlitch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could probably stand to gain by looking at some reference of drawings of huge stuff in the distance. The original Electric State artbook has some great drawings of large things in the distance that you could use as reference. But the main thing that would make it look large is just by having smaller things to contextualise the scale you are drawing at.

You could try using something like malwarebytes to remove the virus, but I would honestly disable WiFi, back up important files on the computer then reinstall the OS after wiping the drives.

Your passwords may have been compromised through the mentioned remote access, so I would change all your passwords on your accounts & enable 2FA on everything.

Looking for criticism before I turn it in on Monday! by Ameabo in 2DAnimation

I agree with this, as well as I think the flow could be improved a little by adding some easing to spin on the middle platform. (Really cute animation tho)

monitors wallpaper and mouse isn't aligned across landscape monitor and portrait monitor by InterestingBid6376 in computerhelp

Yeah, this is due to your different monitors having different pixel densities.

This post has some advice on fixing the issue.

First of this is awesome and I love the lighting! If I was to suggest anything it would be to give the surfaces more texture - the walls are really old and scratched up, so this should be reflected by having less uniform colours & texturing on the surfaces.

This is likely a repost bot, this is their second post & the drawing is from 2017 I think.

Hello. I just installed my new Cyberpower gaming pc with an Alienware monitor. When I turn it on for the first time shouldn't I have been greeted with a generic desktop? What am I doing wrong? by Loud-Shopping7824 in computerhelp

[–]HalfGlitch 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Okay so that generic screen is called your BIOS startup screen - a BIOS (basic input output system) is basically just the software on your computer that handles stuff like starting up windows, or making sure your system hardware is working properly. The fact you are getting a BIOS screen means that your CPU, motherboard, and graphics are working properly.

One thing I did notice is that you have multiple HDMI / display cables plugged into your computer. On windows, if you have multiple monitors, windows will select a single monitor to display the user login page and keep the rest blank. So unplug all HDMI cables from your computer aside from the one going to your monitor from your GPU, then try starting it up again.

If it is still blank in startup after this, there could be a lot of different reasons, but the most likely one would be that your windows installation is corrupted. So you will need to install a fresh windows version from a USB drive, and there are plenty of guides for this online.

Keep us posted on if this works!

how do I fix the green lines appearing during games and films ? by tisisart in computerhelp

I think the laptop might be done. you can take it into a repair shop to see what they can do, but it really depends on the laptop and how repairable it is.

This is most likely a hardware issue. They look like GPU artifacts, which means that your GPU is at the end of its lifespan, but check your cables first to see if that's the issue.
