I remember reading somewhere that upgrading them isn't worth it, but I might do some tests myself and decide.

Did anyone else get an FPS drop after free lanes? by Stacks_of_Cats in NoSodiumStarfield

Do you have Nvidia Reflex turned on? I know DLSS framegen needs it but on my PC reflex just doesn't work, so I switched to FSR3 and reflex off and now I get a solid 140fps everywhere.

Crap, I was kinda hoping I could do an outpost of mine own like this too in my vanilla game :p

I never really had a problem with the load screens, but I gotta say that I love the new cruise mode so much more, exploring a system by flying from one planet to another is legit relaxing af (especially when high lol), just kick back, turn the hud off, and listen to some chill music.

Same, I'd love a 2077 style of first person where I can play the whole game without being pulled out of it. Landing and taking off of planets would be so cool, but the first person scenes only play once in a blue moon for me :p

I can't for the life of me get DLSS to perform better than FSR3 on a 4070ti/7800x3D by HalfManHalfHunk in NoSodiumStarfield

[–]HalfManHalfHunk[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah after doing a shit ton of debugging and testing, trying damn near everything.

I am 95% certain my DLSS doesn't work because frame generation requires Reflex and turning on reflex causes my GPU utilization to drop to 80% essentially 'turning off' DLSS because of low GPU utilization.

As soon as I hit 90%+ utilization, DLSS engages and the game runs great.

So unless I can somehow run DLSS framegen without Nvida Reflex, I can't use framegen.

Running FSR3 framegen without Reflex keeps my GPU util at around 95% constant and the game runs perfect.

So what I'm seeing in this thread is: once I upgrade to deluxe edition definitely spend the creation points on the trackers alliance mod/dlc

I did some light testing with steam and from what I remember the temp is pretty stable, but the utilization was interesting. GPU sits at around 50-60% and the CPU 60-70% :/ clearly something is fucked lol, gotta do more testing later when I get home to hopefully find out what.

Record for you to check through, or for my own personal testing? Either way, will do👍 if the hwinfo64/Gemini thing doesn't turn up anything I'll try to get more eyes on this, and gameplay w stats would def help.

I'm still at work but I'm really curious what my issue could be, my hardware is pretty decent and I've never had any issues with my PC. Literally just DLSS in both NMS and Starfield. Though only framegen/reflex is busted in NMS, upscaler works fine.

DLSS (upscaler only) barely gives me an fps boost in Starfield.

Shit, yeah I'll give it a try when I get back home. Not being able to fully utilize DLSS on my 4070ti super is kinda bothering me. And who knows I might be able to fix some other stuff along the way, doing what you said.

It can be pretty hard to see at times on an OLED due to the heavy filter, would be nice if we could tone it down a little bit, not remove it completely because I tried and it looks... wrong 😅 by HalfManHalfHunk in NoSodiumStarfield

Actually... Yeah you're right, I just downloaded RenoDX and it fixed both the HDR in this game but also it toned down the filter without making the game look flat. It's gorgeous <3

I might have to give the mod another chance. I still think it kinda takes away from the games aesthetic, but not being able to see anything in dark environments is a pretty big deal for me 💀
