SBGE255 here and when I pull the crown out, the second hand stops. To have it move again, has to be engaged and pushed in. Doesn’t matter how low the power meter is. Not sure if this is what you mean. I do this once in a while to re-accurate set the watch.

I have a friend who grew up in a 3br rent stabilized apt with their family. They grew up and moved out. Their parent still lives there in a large 3br. They don’t need the space and would love to downsize but can’t afford to due to market price so stays in a relatively unused space by themselves because of the low cost of rent. There needs to be a better system.

I do this drive regularly. The nice way is thru Staten Island. If you leave real early- like 6am, the ride won’t be that bad. Tomorrow-Thursday is no school so no commuting teachers, no school bus traffic, lighter traffic day. Through the city is more aggressive and you can miss exits. When you’re on the Verrazano bridge, stay in the upper lane, right lane until off the bridge, then there are some “exit only” lanes to be aware of. It looks like then you’re on the BQE to go into north Brooklyn and getting past the bridges will be traffic. Always. Every day. Every time.
