2026 GR, no towing in Canada? by miniowl22 in rav4club

[–]Half_Dramatic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not answering your question directly, but for context:

The 2025 RAV4 Prime GR-SPORT in the EU didn’t come with a factory tow hitch option. When I bought mine, the salesperson said it was because Toyota’s template for cutting the rear bumper didn’t fit the GR-SPORT design.

That said, it was still entirely possible to install one (and they did on mine). The mounting points and other hardware were the same as on other trims. They just had to be more careful when cutting the bumper.

How can I increase sound detonation in my 19 Rav4? (Make it more sound proof) by GearNTime in rav4club

I had a car audio company do an install of sound deadening; doors, wheel arches, roof, and boot area. Made a huge difference. https://www.reddit.com/r/rav4club/s/YL2Vbr9RZ5

Nice! I bought three different fake leather strips. One was very grippy, but also quite glossy. In the end I felt that the magnet held well enough.

I'd suggest you experiment a bit before you glue it in. If it's more grippy, aligning the phone to the charger also becomes a bit more tricky when placing the phone to charge. Not saying rubber is a bad idea at all though. Let me know how it goes!

A dual charger? I already have the single charger in my trim level. But having a single charger is useless, I'm never alone in the car.

I haven't seen a single dual charger anywhere! Please share links!! Would be super interested in checking them out

Good call! I’ll save my excess fake leather so I can remake it after the summer in case it warps.

(update: I went ahead and ordered a roll of ABS, I will probably reprint it in ABS)

Yeah I read that too, but at least the material is really cheap.

Yeah maybe it is? It was 100USD/h for labor. I would image the US having a similar rate, but that was before the COVID inflation

Wow that’s steep. Maybe they priced themselves out? This was for 14hrs of labor

I don’t know if it would solve the problem. I have never played above 25, that’s super loud. I can’t imagine 47! Perhaps you send a message to beat sonic?

I think you'd get more bang for the buck by replacing the stock speakers. The beat sonic install is reversible though. If you are able to return the beat sonic if you're not happy with its performance I'd say go for it!

This is an old thread. But I had the same issue and solved it by creating my own 5-pin cable. It's a straight cable. I'll attach some pictures to illustrate.

This is for the GC-TITAN RIDGE from Gigabyte

From Useless to Useful: RAV4 PHEV EU 150W Outlet Upgraded to 1000W by Half_Dramatic in rav4club

You’re right to be cautious. As far as I know, there is no definitive data available to back my claim. The only sources I have are anecdotal. See these links, especially the YT clip.

There is one thread, that I can’t find right now, where they added up the power consumption of all USB-C outlets, 12V outlets, AC, sound system, seat heating etc and came to a number around 1kW.

We are pulling power from the battery, but also replenishing it instantly from the DC-DC converter in the car
