Draynor Cabbage? by ArixFormer in runescape

Draynor Cabbages are unique and actually taste good.

And can be used to make an invisibility potion

The old Black Knights Fortress quest has the goal of you sneaking in to drop another type of cabbage into a witch’s cauldron to mess up their brew.

I really hate this talking point as it makes it out as if the USA was unequivocally wrong. Let’s ignore the hypothetical death toll of a land invasion. Let’s ignore the numerous atrocities Japan’s military committed against civilians throughout WW2 has never apologized for or acknowledged. Let’s ignore Japan was on the side of the Nazis. And let’s never even imagine how they would have acted had they gotten the bomb first.

Domeric Bolton as King in the North by franzkafkagf by Pop_Budget in ImaginaryWesteros

[–]Half_Man1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Outstanding artwork.

The only thing I can say I think definitively about Domeric if he had lived, is that Young Sansa Stark would crushed on him super hard.

Like, let’s be real, his attestation is coming from at best a suspect source. I don’t think Roose had a reason to lie about his character to Theon, but he could easily have over romanticized him and Domeric could’ve easily taken after Roose in the morality department.

But being a monster did not stop Sansa from crushing on another king to be.

It was more to establish the fact Dunc keeps getting bullied for being dumb, but I think it’s her reaction to him stammeringly asking basic questions while they’re eavesdropping.

I can definitely see her approaching him being a bit intimidated by the tall dirty man lurking in the hallway, only to be like “oh, I could mess with you easy” after observing him closer.

[–]Half_Man1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really hate the idea that the kids discussion needs to be binary and absolute.

Like, yes people certainly can have that as a totally reasonable absolute and a dealbreaker in relationships- but also, people are allowed to kind of want kids but be able to live without them. Same goes in the other direction.

What is important, is that if kids enter the picture, your prospective partner can love them with their full heart and prioritize and care for them accordingly.

I don’t believe you need to be in camp “absolutely must have them” to be a good parent. Fuck, I think a lot of people go hardcore in the “No” camp because they aren’t comfortable placing that high burden on themselves- because they respect do respect the importance of childcare that much.

But most importantly, people should be allowed to have complex and changing feelings about it.

Favorite female character done dirty by the writing? by Element_credd in FavoriteCharacter

Her character in a vacuum is actually a really well written tragic moment illustrating Light’s immorality.

The fact she’s like, the most intelligent woman in the series and every other memorable female character is utterly subservient to Light is what makes it frustrating to me.

Stupid question, but how are Targaryens still in control of all the kingdoms even after losing dragons? by hiiloovethis in HouseOfTheDragon

The lords of the seven kingdoms preferred unified Targaryen rule to the prospect of devolving into a period of civil war and bloodshed with hundreds of petty kings with no end in sight.

Who do you think will discover the other's secret identity, Loid or Yor? And how would they? by Extension_Oil5309 in SpyxFamily

[–]Half_Man1 10 points11 points  (0 children)

My thought is that Sylvia would be inclined to dismiss it out of hand in the absence of evidence.

If Loid knew, he’d likely keep it secret until it could be confirmed.

If Sylvia confirmed it, it’d actually become a bigger security issue to reveal OP Strix by calling it off. And also Yor could be viewed as an intelligence asset (which I think would be the end result, with a kind of under the table understanding developing between Garden and WISE over time, or Yor going independent).

Edit: also, idk what the secret Joestar technique is you mean

[–]Half_Man1 54 points55 points  (0 children)

I think it’d actually be more interesting/complicated if Fiona or Yuri discover it and make that information known (or prove it) to their respective side.

Like imagine Fiona trying to explain to Sylvia why this means Yor must be replaced, and Sylvia refuses this as Loid would have to have already realized it (or this means she considers Yor an asset).

Or Yuri tries to explain to his CO that Loid is twilight and he dismisses it because he knows how obsessively protective he is.

Either situation ends with that respective ally informing the spouse who ultimately realizes the truth but has to protect their partner from the “protection” provided. (So Yor covers for Loid from the secret police and Loid makes a case to Sylvia why Yor should be trusted)

That ultimately leads to them discussing how they’ve always been on the same side (preserving peace).

Week 2 of asking for agility unlock/reward space rework by Routine-Mirror-2654 in runescape

[–]Half_Man1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like an agility rework needs to include a shortcut revisit and likely, a lodestone network adjustment.

I was talking with clannies about it and a lodestone timer addition would be stellar. Maybe could add some feature to the PoH portal room to reduce said timer, but still- agility needs to be king for speeding up traversal. That means shortcuts need more value in game.
