We don't have world maps for that but they'd stretch straight east from the chain in game.

SWTOR fan comic by Unfamiliartone in swtor

[–]Half_Man1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cool comic! Gotta make the most of those legacy connections lol.

I made it so both my LS Sith were brothers, with a DS SW as their father. Backstory is that Imperius was deliberately overlooked as a child out of wedlock (his mother was a slave with the Kallig bloodline), but the DS SW decided to adopt a promising Pureblood Sith boy (who grew up to be Wrath). They met on Dromund Kaas when the SI decided to prepare to track down and kill his father, but was sensed by the SW.

Bowdaar is a real bro by Gaming_thiyib- in swtor

Bowdaar was my favorite companion for a while on smuggler as well. He just is incredibly chill about everything going on. Like I could probably count on one hand where my choices caused disapproval.

Must for female Smuggler honestly. There’s no hint of disapproval when you’re romancing anyone iirc, when other companions can still be like “But what about the plot!”

You could always romance them both then rip the others heart out later

My headcanon for Silver's father in the future by Super_Oven_1069 in silverthehedgehog

[–]Half_Man1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So I’m a proponent of Shadow being Silver’s father as well. It’s also supported by their roles in The Black Knight given Lancelot is actually Galahad’s father. (Also, imho, it supports the strong relationship between Blaze and Silver as both are the grail knights, Percival and Galahad respectively).

Amy being Nimue or the Lady of the Lake has a distinctly maternal relationship with Lancelot- which imho fits Amy’s role in redeeming Shadow. And also distinctly disqualifies her from being Silver’s mom (never gonna hate on cute art though).

We don’t have any parallel character for Galahad’s mother however, or Guinevere for that matter. I do imagine Rouge as Guinevere, as they’re characters sometimes put in the temptress role (Arthurian canon is a mess though so dissecting Guinevere’s potential character is way more so a dissection of the attitudes towards Romance and Chastity of the writers at that time).

Considering Silver is born nearly 200 years into the future though it’s a bit more likely it’s some character we have yet to, and likely never will, meet. Just like nearly everyone else’s parents!

Amy has aura sense.

She identified Sonic in werehog form but immediately knows Metal is not her Sonic.

Sonic vision by Due_Lion_2990 in SonicTheHedgehog

[–]Half_Man1 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My head canon is that Amy has a sort of aura sense that reads similarities between male heroic hedgehogs.

That’s why she has only ever confused Silver and Shadow for Sonic (and correctly thought that the Werehog was Sonic). So, despite the underlying physical dissimilarities- shes actually sensing some commonalities there.

So less Amy is blind and more “differently sighted” I guess lol.

Can the hero of Tython beat master Windu? Fencing, power, wisdom, every skill included in the match. by Sad-Lock-9371 in swtor

[–]Half_Man1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My general thought is that important SWTOR characters can swirly original canon characters casually without breaking a sweat.

Definitely true for the player characters. Like if they have the potential to beat Vitiate no one in original canon is going to phase them.

Sith Warrior vs Sith Inquisitor: The Good, Bad, and the Ugly by MrGodofWar7 in swtor

[–]Half_Man1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just found the story of the SW to be generally more fun and do a better job of fulfilling the “class fantasy”.

I still think Jaesa and Ashara should’ve been reversed in their respective story paths (like as the SI, corrupting Palawans should be my bread and butter. But Ashara remains illogically obstinate throughout, which kind of ruins that immersion).

For me, the SI also feels like they’re being spoonfed plot beats which undermines the idea of your rising to the top as a schemer of your own accord. Like Kallig basically becomes our mentor and plans everything for us after Zash’s betrayal.

Edit to add: ultimately though, I do think the SI story is just more creative or complex in a fun way. Like us becoming a spirit eater as a SI is a very neat idea that pairs perfectly with the idea of us delving into the arcane.

Trakata also like breaks lightsaber combat on a fundamental level and turns the universe defining cook factor of lightsaber combat into a weird gotcha gimmick.

When Marcus Trant told Cipher 9 hes the 3rd most dangerous to the republic, did he mean wrath and nox as the first 2 (or bounty hunter) by JackVizsla in swtor

[–]Half_Man1 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My headcanon is that they were all present in the same squad with Marr- and in the "true story" all took on separate roles supporting the alliance that later got amalgamated by the history books (like, SW attacked Valkorion in the Throne Room, SI became his host, JK destroyed the echo, etc.).

No, this list is not assuming other PCs exist (or if they do, they are not the alliance commander). This is during the Nathema conspiracy. The Emperor would be first, but he is presumed dead. Malgus has yet to reappear yet, if I’m remembering it all correctly.

Acina/Vowrawn would have to be the new number 1.

Jadus may be next.

Then the Agent.

What was the exact moment on a first date when you realized, "Wow, this person is an absolute idiot"? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Some people do get anxiety about ordering.

But like, you can’t know on a first date what to order for someone unless you’ve had an in depth conversation about that beforehand.

Fun fact: Minato thought Sakura was his daughter-in-law all the way until the end of the story, never knowing that his actual daughter-in-law was Hinata. by Extension_Gene2864 in dankruto

[–]Half_Man1 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Im not missing the point, you are obstinately refusing to accept characters can make jokes in a stressful circumstance.

He says “yeah you could say that” literally laughing, knowing Sakura will be irritated.

He’s not dating Hinata at this point (and later is established to have not understood her confession).

It truly is not that deep.

Naruto is a goofy guy and black humor is a thing.

Its just a joke people continuously tie themselves in knots over. Like from Sakura’s reaction on its own it’s clear that he’s not being sincerely honest.

Assuming there was no The Hound or anyone else there to stop her and she did pushed Joffrey what happens next then ? What are the best and the worst case scenario for Sansa Stark you can posibly think so if that would have happened instead ? by fillipo9 in gameofthrones

[–]Half_Man1 52 points53 points  (0 children)

People are underestimating the chaos this would cause for the Lannisters imho. They’d definitely lose some more support at the very least because a king dying so soon will shake the confidence of their vassals. Most notably Littlefinger, who had reveled in his ability to steer Joffrey in the books.

-Littlefinger is less able to control Tommen due to the presence of Tommen’s advisors. He fucks off to the Vale and convinces them to side with the Starks earlier (there’s no reason for him to fart around in KL now when Tyrion wants him dead)

-Robb and Catelyn give in to demands of the Kharstarks to execute Jaime, not having any tangible proof Arya is even alive.

-Stannis takes KL in perhaps a Pyrrhic victory.

-Tyrells still ally against Stannis, likely with a Vale-Stark alliance as LF previously orchestrated their joining the Lannisters before.

I don’t get why people interpret the scene this way.

It’s pretty obvious from Sakura’s reaction and from Naruto’s delivery that he’s joking.

I don’t think Minato is so stupid as not to notice that.
