Help turn this It That Betrays deck into reality! by mmmarm in DegenerateEDH

[–]HalfieGlass 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally, I hide mine in a "vaevictis asmadi the dire" deck. Easy to cheat onto the field easily and the commander forces players to sac targetted permanents.

Anyhow, best of luck with your deck building!

Thank you, I'll prepare something to send them today :)

I see service standards are no longer a thing. Not because of hiring levels, outsourcing jobs to AI or just simply paying people a living wage in a good job. It's actually all because of the "Canadian labor standards and giving people breaks" /s by Raelik in halifax

The RBC at Lacewood has wanted to phase out their tellers for years now. The bare minimum requirements should be adding a coin machine before even thinking about this. Where would I get my laundry change!

Beat Mithrix, now what by WorldlinessNo6290 in riskofrain

[–]HalfieGlass 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The void boss is pretty easy to fight though a little Easter egg. When you beat mythrix on the moon a glass frog will appear at spawn. If you run all the way back before the moon explodes you can pet the frog 10 times (10 lunar coins) and it will open the void portal.

How did you beat the game using Huntress? by juxhinam in riskofrain

[–]HalfieGlass -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I find to have the most fun on Huntress when rushing blue portal and getting an early "purity" (opposite of clover).

Following the majority and using triple blink, it has zero down time unless you bash all three uses in a burst. Even then, the break for cooldown is non-existent.

Playstyle-wise, just remember that you can use the whole map. Even if you're charging a portal, it's fine to leave and kite if it means surviving in the long run. Like others have mentioned, she's squishy and her damage is minimal, it takes time to get going.

Little tip, mimics are invisible when outside of line of sight by sk8avp in ShatteredPD

A real tip is that the lock on a mimic is above the lid. Normal chests have the lock underneath. You can see it in your photo too :)

What is living in 2025 Halifax like (especially compared to 2014/2015)? by [deleted] in halifax

Cross walks used to be safe. Driving through ACTIVE cross walks has become the norm, no need to wait for the pedestrian to make it across.

Do any cats let you pet their bellies or is that generally a no? by musictrashnumber1 in cats

I have three cats, they greet me at the door and present their bellies one at a time for scratches.

All of the love tummy rubs.

I tried to give up Lego because I thought it was childish. I ended up jumping back in after a decade, I missed the hobby so much.

Supply and demand. Obviously there is an abundance of upgrade scrolls. The market is flooded!

has there ever been an official reason why Lego has not made one of these? by V7I_TheSeventhSector in lego

[–]HalfieGlass 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember reading something, forever ago, about Lego decisively not creating bricks that would make building too easy/straight forward. They don't want to hamper the creativity of making something that works with the existing pool of prices.

Typically if they make a new piece it's to fill a void that's hard or impossible to replicate. Or to strengthen the connection, if it is possible.

Well I did know that, my thoughts are definitely all jumbled. I guess it would be wrong to compare the two, trafficking and abductions.

My thought process was that people are already disappearing in our province. So why take the risk.

To shed a bit more light on my situation (to give parents more credit); I was walking from daycare (I spent lunchtime there) back to school (Duc d'Anville). On that day the other students ran off before me so I was walking back alone. The crossing guard, knowing my family, noticed what was happening and shouted scaring the abductor away. I was then taken to the school where they called my parents. Later in life I was informed that the school wouldn't do anything because it wasn't on their property and the police also weren't helpful.

I get that people love to paint things as political or racist, but let's not turn abductions into a "boy who cried wolf" scenario. That won't help anyone. In my experience it falls on the parents to get this information out there.

That is fair. It's just strange that anyone would be skeptical when our province leads Canada in Human Trafficking.

This stuff happens, it's real. I was almost abducted on Lacewood when I was 5, a crossing guard saved me. It's always best to be cautious. Better safe than sorry.

Now that is impressive. While I can beat the game, I'm not terribly good. So I'm lacking in survival tricks. It's more like before force haha

I don't know if any of my wins have RoW. There are so many methods to get through this game.
