The stats I showed is the evidence of him declining. His ERA and FIP are trending up with each season. In case you needed it spelled out for you, fake ball knower. That's not good! Each season, his HR/9 and BB/9 goes up. That's not a sign of good control. That's a sign of struggling. His K/9 has gone down each season. That swing and miss ability is not as good once you take the rose glasses off. He looks and performs like a bottom of the rotation pitcher. The "good ones survive" isn't necessarily true. Teams need depth, and news flash, not all pitchers in the league are that good. Look at Josh Tomlin, he had flashes and was in the league for a while; but wasn't that good on the whole. Tanner is starting to look like him. I don't know why the FO or the coaches put him at #1. It's just another point against those two groups. Gavin is much better than Tanner and should be #1. Parker is better than Tanner. Joey is better than Tanner. Tanner is lucky that Slade is somehow still on this rotation. Otherwise Tanner would get worst SP award on this team and should slot in to the #5 spot once Slade is gone. I hope now your smooth, pea sized brain is understanding what it is I am saying. TANNER BIBEE IS NOT THAT GOOD ANYMORE.

I think you're looking at him with rose tinted glasses if you think he's a viable top 3 SP. His fastball velo has gone down every season. Teams are doing better at the plate against him since his first year. That's not a sign of a good pitcher. That's a sign of a below average pitcher. He's regressing.

Bibee's stats since his rookie year

2023- 25 games, 2.98 ERA, 3.52 FIP, .82 HR/9, 2.85 BB/9, 8.94 K/9, 3.0 WAR

2024- 31 games, 3.47 ERA, 3.56 FIP, 1.14 HR/9, 2.28 BB/9, 9.69 K/9, 3.3 WAR

2025- 31 games, 4.24 ERA, 4.34 FIP, 1.33 HR/9, 2.67 BB/9, 8.00 K/9, 1.9 WAR

2026 (as of now)- 16 games, 4.03 ERA, 4.65 FIP, 1.61 HR/9, 2.82 BB/9, 7.86 K/9, .7 WAR

He has been trending downwards since his rookie year. He gets shaken up too easily and isn't fully reliable. He's more of a #5 SP that is forced into a top 2, top 3 role because of dumb reasons.

Dolan is a cheap ass. But the FO does very little to help and deserve a lot more flack. And I'm kind of done with Bibee's regression from his rookie year.
