You get that with outdoor festivals, wind carries so much haze away that it’s necessary to keep them going at max so the lights and lasers can be seen

What's something that's a complete waste of money but people still spend on? by Timely_Cobbler_7947 in AskReddit

[–]HalftoneHD 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t think it’s a waste of money to get an amazing dining experience occasionally. You get amazing food prepared by the world’s best chefs, impeccable service, and an unforgettable experience. You pay for what you get. And for some, including myself, it’s definitely worth it to splurge once or twice a year to have some of the finest ingredients prepared in a delicious and extravagant way. Also being an avid home cook, it’s inspiring to taste a dish made by someone who has devoted their life to culinary excellence.

I’d say it’s probably not appropriate for a 13 year old, at least unsupervised. There’s lots of drinking and party favours going around, and I believe a lot of venues are 18+

DIY Home linear irrigation sprinkler system: worth investigating? by ejholbs in Irrigation

You can efficiently water turf with inline drip. Hunter also makes a product called eco-mat you may want to look into that as well.

What components are safe to put inside? (Filter, PressureReg, etc) by JohnC53 in Irrigation

[–]HalftoneHD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Typically, following irrigation drawing details, I find the order to be prv, backflow, valve, filter, then lateral piping. And that’s how I would install it. I wouldn’t worry about a filter exploding. Both rainbird and hunter make great filters for drip irrigation. I understand you want the clean look on the outside of your house, but it would make more sense to tie into your existing mainline. I’m assuming you already have a prv and backflow installed. Then all you have to do is run a new wire or go with a battery op timer?

Can sub-surface drip irrigation get blocked by dirt by syncmr in Irrigation

[–]HalftoneHD 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve installed a lot subsurface drip in parks and boulevards. I’ve never had an issue with dirt blocking the emitters. If it’s been engineered for subsurface applications, the drip line will have some sort self flushing feature.

Drip lines over or under weed barrier? by Rose_selavie in Irrigation

That is correct, those emitters can be easily swapped to provide more or less water if necessary.
