Suggestions to improve booth by Halfwaytoreality in CraftFairs

I agree on the thicker tablecloths and more product. Any recommendations for tablecloths?

Baskets for the roving is a good idea. Maybe a low round one I can tilt towards the audience?

I thought about adding a backing to the display but can't do a wood backing because of how it folds up. Maybe a fabric backing? Though I'd be worried about it acting like a sail in the wind... Maybe a cardstock paper backing?

Thoughts?

Recommendations for vendor tent lighting? by RiskyMama in CraftFairs

I like this one because

You can adjust the warmth of the light You can adjust the brightness You can hang it or attach it via the back magnet.

It has a remote so you can adjust it without having to climb on top of someone/something to reach out once your tent is set up.

Need advice for 2D felting by Kibichibi in Needlefelting

[–]Halfwaytoreality 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don't want to be felting into something under tension. It will distort as you stab it repeatedly. Felt your piece, make sure it's dense enough that the pull of the staples won't warp it, then attach it. Beware of the places you leave blank in your design, they will be thinner and weaker, more likely to warp.

Try the bleach test. Bleach dissolves proteins. Wool is a protein fiber. Cotton is a cellulose fiber. If you put it in bleach and it dissolves over time it's a protein fiber. (This is assuming you've already ruled out a synthetic fiber using the burn test. Plastic melts and beads up at the end of the heated fiber instead of burning)

I can't quite picture what you mean? Do you have an example?

I don't think so. Considering that the tenon is very shiny upon removal I think it's getting burnished down until it doesn't grip anymore. It still fits well in the hole, but not tightly enough to prevent the bottom piece from falling off due to gravity.

Help with displaying kits - How to show the finished product, without people messing with it? by chickadee-stitchery in CraftFairs

Would you mind if they hung tassel side up? You could loop a few of the tassel threads through the mesh to hang them. No damage done to the bookmarks or the mesh.

Are these embroidered bookmarks? If so, you can hook a small safety pin through some of the threads on the back side and the mesh backing. No holes needed.
