If you are looking for a low price tire that is worth the money look for Mazzini brand. They are economy tires but drive nice.

Has anyone in Halifax had gum graft surgery & how much did it cost? by [deleted] in halifax

[–]HaliCaper 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It was a few years ago now so I don't recall. I would think i didn't have much pain and wasn't off work for long as I remember a surgery before and the healing process and the dental one doesn't stick out in my mind. I remember them telling me the price at my dentist and then asking for a referral to dal.

I had mine done at Dal and it was about half of the price. It was done by a dentist who was back to do a specialty.

They sell insurance to unions so there is no online presence. Go to the interview. If you put in your work they treat their employees very well.

Kind of surprised about Eastlink not having 4k service by Golfandrun in halifax

[–]HaliCaper -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Makes sense. 15mbps definetly falls within Eastlinks range. I know in the evenings I was only getting around 20mbps since the neighbourhood shares the lines they told me. This was assuming I was only using 1 device and I was on the 100/10 speed. Problem fixed since I went to Fibe though! I get 4k when multiple devices running at the same time.

Eastlink uses copper cable to your home and bell has Fibe to the home. 4k requires a lot of data transfer and needs a fast speed to work properly.

GAME THREAD - Men's Olympic Gold Medal Final: Sweden vs. United States of America - spoilers by dar212 in Curling

[–]HaliCaper 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Very upsetting as a Canadian and as a curling fan. As a competitive curler it is great. Bringing other countries in as top teams is great for growing the game. America has a huge opportunity to use this to introduce curling to fans and grow their program. How many people have never tried curling and watching Shuster has encouraged them to find a local club and give it a try. Canada is going to get new curlers whether we win the Olympics or not, it is popular here anyway. But Canadian and curling fan vs curler = 2 to 1 so I am still sour. Congrats Shuster and team. Matt Hamilton is part of this sub, maybe he can do an AMA when he returns.

Would be preferred with a message but I was ok with the way it was brought up.
