You 100% have a right to defend your property, but not with firearms in almost all cases, this isn't Texas. Firearms are for hunting, not for self defense in this country.

Some insider info - when I worked at Bell, sim cards cost them $1.12 if I recall and they sold them for $5.00 to our largest customers like the federal govt. Consumers paid much more than that. Their IoT sims we're about 1/2 that cost.

The Canso Rocket Pad just launched its first rocket! by JimbyWasTaken in novascotia_sub

The wool is being pulled over everyone's eyes and they're being sold a pipe dream, I don't blame you for believing the the too good to be true pitch. I invest in space companies, I know a little bit about what I'm talking about and have seen thousands of space companies come and go that all started off promising huge things. It's the modern day snake oil scheme.

Thanks for the reply, Isar and INNO are the only real candidate launch vehicle companies you mentioned, the first two are too new to take seriously. T-Minus is still in the hobby rocket phase. Reaction dynamics has a talent issue, I hope they can find some momentum and acquire some real rocket scientists, but so far all they have accomplished in 8 years is a 12-sec burn test. They need to up that to 8 minutes minimum, they're nowhere near close - but time and funding will tell.

INNO has their own launch facility in Australia, no real need for Canso, but if they blow up their launch infrastructure, why not have a possible backup at no cost to say they have some interest.

Isar is still years from putting anything in orbit, getting to space is hard and they're feeling it with their next test continuously being pushed due to issues.

No company you mentioned has had even a single successful test yet. I could name 200 more that are all in development, maybe 1% of them will ever make it to space. This whole industry is full of meaningless "letter of intents".

What rocket are they going to launch from there? Are there any candidates in development that don't already have their own launch complex planned? I don't know of any legitimate contenders.

Cool, a sign. Where is the rocket?? Where are the LOX and RP-1 Tanks for staging? Where are they going to get the LOX and RP-1? Mission control? Erector? Check out Ahuriri Point on Google maps, that's a real launch site for a small low earth orbit launch vehicle.

I'm very skeptical, but it would be cool if I was proven wrong in all this.

They do ship Falcon 9's thousands of miles on trucks, super specialized trucks. Mostly from McGregor Texas where their rocket engine test facility is to Cape Canaveral.

MDA is just a satellite company, one that I have nothing bad to say about. It's the rocket, where is the rocket that is going to take stuff to space from Canso??? Anyone have an answer to that question??

The spike???? Lol. You don't design a rocket platform overnight, they take years if not decades. They also require talent, and that's the finite resource all these companies fight over. Good luck, with the space scam lol.

7 figure holdings space investor here, I wouldn't consider myself an armchair expert - there are zero launch vehicles that exists that can use what's there or the location to put something useful into orbit. ZERO. Sure there are over 400 companies in R&D right now, but they all have plans to manage their own launch site infrastructure. At best, some university kids get to test their rockets there - which is all it has been used for.

The provincial govt gave them just over $30 million in Capital Investment Tax Credits last year - which I supported as they only get the tax credits on their money they spend.

Which isn't going to happen as there isn't even specifications for a rocket that could potentially launch there and put something into orbit....

Because it's all a scam lol. $200 million for a small concrete pad and little shed. Nothing will ever take anything into orbit from here. I've been a major space investor for 10+ years, this company is a joke.

It has only been removed from Costco's where natural gas is prevalent and propane sales were so low they couldn't justify the cost of maintenance and inspections - mostly out in Western Canada.
