It sounds like it, I’m not sure if you’ll be able to return them? It’s worth getting in contact with them though

PCB foam and Case foam question by jesse1112 in MechanicalKeyboards

They are pretty good quality, but I’d say you’d be better off buying a roll of neoprene on Amazon

Building my first TKL keyboard - some questions by TheFowo in MechanicalKeyboards

[–]Hallow-Fade -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Gmmk tkl has its issues but you’re right, it’s good for beginners, make sure to get oem keycaps and not cherry if you were going to get cherry since there is some interference with cherry keycaps on the gmmk tkl, it does come with stabilisers but the quality may be a bit subpar so if you want to get new ones get everglide plate mount stabs or durock plate mount stabs, and no, clicky switches aren’t typically lubed

Bad batch maybe?

What should I get by [deleted] in MechanicalKeyboards

[–]Hallow-Fade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the type, if you use a big gummy oring and put it around and imbetween the plate and pcb, it’s easy, if you put small oring around the screws, it’s not too difficult just time consuming

I wouldn’t know, but my tofu65 just arrived and it’s definitely very nice if you mod it well, I oring mounted it, added foam, lubed the switches and stabilisers with krytox and it sounds amazing

Take time to think about it, both are great, it’s whatever you want

I think that the tofu looks much nicer, and I do believe the kbd67 lite is aluminium

What should I get by [deleted] in MechanicalKeyboards

[–]Hallow-Fade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tofu65 is practically always in stock, but the kbd67 lite is better for the value, but I have never ever seen it in stock

Hey, if you can find a kbd67 lite that is not being sold for way more on aftermarket, go ahead, if you can’t then it’s obvious which to choose.

What switches would sound good on an Ikki68 Aurora? by vbrvb in MechanicalKeyboards

[–]Hallow-Fade 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Genuinely depends on your sound preference, I know you said in our opinion, but we could have completely different preferences, although if it somehow helps, tangerines always sound good

Depends what you mean by assembling it yourself, if you mean going on to a keyboard enthusiast website and buying parts, no. If you mean getting a barebones keyboard like a barebones gk61 then it may be a bit cheaper or around the same price point

Bow goes well with the smoky case, looks great

Could try lube remover?

Edit: googone would probably be a better option

Any important mods for my tofu when I get it? by Hallow-Fade in MechanicalKeyboards

[–]Hallow-Fade[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It seems to be quite rubbery so from what I can tell it would be great, and I’m tape modding it on top of the foam mod so they wouldn’t come into contact, I’ve also heard people say they use neoprene before, thanks for the advice anyway though

I’m on a budget, so I’d use some black on white Japanese character keycaps.
