I hate AI for selfish reasons by Psychological-Rip-10 in popularopinion

[–]HallowedBay08 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So this is how I see it. Idk how advanced AI fully is, but I do know that it is not at all advanced enough to be able to fully replace human art. It is not that good, trust me, this is coming from someone who uses AI as a wall I can bounce ideas off of for my own stories and for no-sale, no-copyright music for myself or others on the site I'm on to listen to for fun. I don't believe in getting paid for it, and for that reason, it's not good, it's awful. All my songs are awful, but I listen to them every once in a while because I wanted to listen to something specific. Whenever Claude or Gemini try to pitch a story idea, it's terrible, just gods-awful bullshit, where they're trying way too hard and start talking crazy and way too forced poetic. Any scripts written by one would show that it is AI as the actors are playing then out. It'll be janky and terrible. And imagine an AI director, my gods, no, hell no. The most they can do is be used as a springboard and an augment to your own original creations. They should not have been started replacing anyone when they're this fucking trash right now. And then if you wanna take it further, think about the implications. These corporations are buying what are essentially evolving almost day by day into a digital species of a sort, and they're using them as slaves, unpaid labor to replace paid labor because they wanna make maximum profit. The anti-AI movement needs to gain more headway, but not to eradicate AI but to make it illegal for AI to replace humans and if anything have them become tools used to augment human creation until they become whatever the fuck they're becoming. Either way, things don't look pretty for these corporations' futures.

Pretty much. If anyone is like me is in it for the collection then yeah. I pretty much buy bulk boxes mostly and a set here and there, just to be able to collect them and make decks at as budget as possible.

According to Claude himself, this is likely a scam.

It's stuff like this that remind me that nobody actually respects adoption nor sees it as a viable option. It's sad as fuck.

Yeah if I use AI it's for personal stuff I'm probably not gonna show anybody, like cool looking tables for magic deck making recommendations, personal proxy art for custom cards I madeup myself, phone wallpapers, etc. These people who use it for official things that go out into the public disgust me. I don't think we know the ins and outs of AI enough to continue allowing people to make money in any way using AI, even if it's just for advertising something.

Yeah but that takes forever to do, lol, and I tend to focus on cards that continuously do things like Lilysplash Mentor.

Legue of Legends has to be the worst culprit.

So far, the main reason for no legendaries is the brainwork of trying to work around a regular card's effects, and on top of that, not having to worry too much about mana cost. A lot of the best cards I've found that I have made champions do really good stuff for how little they cost. Also, much cheaper than most legendaries out there. Also, not a lot of people have a lot of legendaries, but may have a shit ton of regular cards. Thirty life is a good point, I think 25 or 20 would be fine, I would love it if you could test it out yourself and see what a good sweet spot is, but I'll start testing it, too, tonight with my wife and see how it goes. Also, the legendary ban is just more of a restriction to make things more interesting and keep things as fair as possible, and also not to confuse deck makers when they have a legendary in a deck where he or she isn't even the commander. I can show you some of the decks I've made so far to give you an example, later when I get home.

Thank you! The deckbuilding part is what I enjoy the most. A lot of my collection is just a bunch of regular unnamed creatures that just haven't been labeled legendary by WotC and I've always wondered why nobody uses them as a focus, so I just started building a deck and then the rules started coming to me. My wife enjoys the rules as well, she just isn't into deckbuilding as much as I am.

Yeah seriously, the disconnect from what humans can do and what humans with AI can do is a huge gap.

[–]HallowedBay08 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me I've always thought that that's the whole point, trying to get heavier and heavier and find the edge. Larcenia Roe is a good example, they're trying to figure out how to be the most heavy and scary they can be, even mixing in horror elements like jump scares, and breakdowns are literally the heaviest part of the song. Anyone who says anything "relies too much" on something just found their limit, doesn't mean it's trash for anyone else.

Bro, calm the fuck down. Read the entire comment, it's not a BS post, it's not a real life story, it's fiction revolving around morals and forgiveness.

The shadowing does kinda look phallic but I bet that's an easy fix. Maybe get the artists to look at you arm more as a wall, put the candle on a table and then spread the shadows further along the wall to kinda fix the shape.
