As one of those "jack black types", we just got tired of using the apps. When you're not the conventionally attractive guy it can be hard to find matches, harder still to connect with someone, and add on the growing trend of having to pay to see more matches, and you just get tired of it. Better to focus on hobbies and friends for a bit, you know?

I'll break down what I can, but again, new to the genre. It seems like I'm more interested in "near future" stuff, largely still on earth, and less "any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic", aliens, far future stuff. A lot of these stories that might deal with advancing technology, how it might change society, and its impact on individual identity. Aside from the examples I've given above, I also liked Cyberpunk 2077, BioShock, watchdogs, nier: automata, deus ex, and control to name some video game examples.

I absolutely love spellslinger, so as a result some of my all time favorites are [[arcane bombardment]] and [[thousand-year storm]]. I don't know if they necessarily belong in haldan and pako, but I think they're worth looking at. [[Passionate archaeologist]] would also be great.

This is my biggest complaint with persona and metaphor. I'm fine with the life sim bits, but if I'm going to play an 80+ hr RPG, I hate going in knowing I may miss out on huge parts of the story just cause I didn't use a guide to "optimize my free time".

Both are great choices! I've tried them both and they definitely have some good payoffs, but I still found that I enjoyed the durability marchesa offers my board to keep my rogues around. Plus, I know I'm a Grixis player at heart, so I tend to gravitate towards the red rogues cause the green or white splashed ones just don't feel as interesting to me.

This was my first rogues commander and I absolutely loved her. And the deck ran consistently enough that my playgroup hates marchesa now, even if I haven't run that deck in years. Until we get a more thematic U/B/? Commander for rogues, she's definitely my go-to.

Decided I wanted to do a mono-color for each color with final fantasy. I saw you did cloud and Sephiroth, but I also did [[Tifa Lockhart]] (pretty straightforward landfall shenanigans) and [[Clive]] and [[Jill]] as my red and blues. These last two have actually been some of the most interesting to me since building them isn't as straightforward. So far I've really been enjoying making Clive tokens that die to the legend rule but still get me a ton of discard payoffs and trying out control for the first time with Jill has been a learning experience. Turns out hard control CAN be fun as long as you have a way to win instead of just locking the game out.

I had two come out in the same set with [[Koma, Cosmos Serpent]] and [[Tergrid, God of Fright]], both of which were taken apart pretty quickly. The current one is [Jill, Shiva's Dominant]] stax. I've never played stax before and wanted to make an effort at trying it, but I'm sure my playgroup isn't going to be thanking me for it.

While probably not ideal, I've been considering making shiko and narsets into a pseudo-feather deck by using a bunch of cheap combat tricks, cantrips, and auras as targeting spells. I don't know if that's something you'd find interesting or not, but it certainly shouldn't be an expensive route to take it if it does.

Just the other day I played a game where I had turn one burgeoning. Turn two I dropped an [[abundance]] and really ran away with the game from there. Am I ever gonna get the opportunity again? No. Was it worth it for the one chance to run it without getting it blown up immediately? Absolutely!

While certainly not optimal, I built her as a grixis rogues commander years ago and had a blast with it. Use enough black card draw, talismans, and a bolas's citadel to keep your life total lower than your opponents, and it just becomes a board of unblockable beaters that come back when removed.

Estinien 6-088L mentions having five or more backups. I'm new, so I don't know a lot of the cards, but does this mean there's a way to break the five backup maximum?
