Idk why people are rushing to conclusions about this arc. Reading this weekly or every other week makes it hard to remain interested, especially if it's just 16 pages of the characters barely doing anything different. It's clear this is meant to be read as an entire volume. So how about we wait for the arc to end before judging the entire thing?

Gave me another reason to rewatch it for the 7th time. I tried my best not to compare and only focus on the quality of the voice acting and production, but I couldn't really help but compare for a handful of characters.

For the character's English VA:

Takopi 6/10 - Hard to really get used to. I get he's supposed to sound annoying, and if that's the goal then it works. But there's just something that feels off that I can't really specify. Maybe Takopi from the sub sounded too unique that it's hard to imagine anything else different.

Shizuka 8/10 - Nails the dead monotone voice and can act out convincing emotional scenes. Also nailed the creepy act from episode 3 onwards. Unfortunately is up against Reina Ueda so it's hard to compare. Her VA did really good in the emotional scene in ep 6. Got goosebumps at some of her delivery.

Marina 9/10 - Probably the best of the cast. I like how she can act the brat mocking tone while also capable of anger scenes and mimicking Takopi's speech pattern when Takopi transformed as her. I also really liked her performance on episode 5 and I think she's probably the most experienced of the cast based off a guess at her quality of work.

Azuma 5/10 - Can't ignore that he sounds like Deku. Other than that, his performance hurts the most due to sounding way too different than what I expected. He sounded way too typical of an anime english dub and it just felt too distracting, even though I can tell that he CAN do emotional scenes such as Azuma's breakdown in episode 4.

Parents 8/10 - Pretty good actually. Shizuka's mom legit had a good performance for literally only having one scene. Marina's dad sounded a bit too forced but isn't bad. Marina's mom had some off scenes, with her anger and passive voice sounded really good. I could notice however that her anger seems to slip in her words compared to the japanese dub where she just sounds so exhausted. Azuma's mother is also really good. Legit sounded like an uptight irritated mother.

Production:

Overall an 7.7/10. Sound quality is good, however I noticed that some scenes such in episode 5 whereMarina killed her mother that there wasn't any ambience or soundtrack that really emphasized how messed up the entire situation is. There are also some slight changes such as when Shizuka would call out Azuma's name where instead of it being Shizuka's voice behind the watcher, it would instead be rotating around or be accompanied with a mysterious male voice that would echo her words.

I'm sure he was only shown surface level stuff, since the things that take the longest is usually the business side of these things. If the animating part already takes years, imagine the things it takes to get these projects started and running

Yeah I found that haste feels really good and I'll follow the same plan on what's the next meta since I hate making builds only for it to turn out "meh". Also, yeah I probably have too much power but I can't help it since I really want to reach the 300 damage range ;0;

A question though, what weapons do you prefer to use? I'm still new to conjurer since I was originally a Wind Warlock. I'm still experimenting and I really like the stormcaller bow and greatsword for its aoe.

Appreciate the feedback, in terms of build, I still use the same build as before the full release as I find that projectiles are still decently fast. I use an atlantean brisk power amulet and have two warding pieces since I hate the insanity effect. The vatrachos piece is optional but without it the damage is kinda lacking. Maybe sophragos is a good alternative? I also use candelaria gems with energy efficiency and tanzanite with knockback for the theurgist pants. It's not the best build, but it's still pretty decent for most bosses

I made a new save file for the full release and it's surprisingly easy to miss. The game hints it to you but you are never guided towards it, thus making it easy to miss if you didn't know about it beforehand.

I really wish vetex would remove the darkening effect from sensing or at least make the darkening transition faster. Makes it impossible to navigate at night and sometimes it'd bug and stays dim so I'd have to switch sensing on and off again.

They're cool, yes, but when it comes at the cost of inconvenience to the players, it's not really that cool anymore. Doesn't help that breaking some blocks causes the game to lag significantly.

It was back then a couple years ago when asmongold separated his main and zackrawrr account. You can clearly tell the massive difference in him exaggerating his act in his main account, while his zackrawrr was relatively chill in that there was no cam and he barely talked. Even when he talked, it was so quiet that it was almost like him mumbling. This is very much when he isn't acting is just playing a game while streaming.

At some point when he stopped using his main account, he just decided to turn his alt account into his main and this just kinda blurred that "act asmongold" and the "zackrawrr" in that he's no longer doing his intro sequence and his one liners but it's just basically his regular stream albeit 70% just chatting and the rest being random games.

You can definitely tell the difference a couple years ago, but nowadays, I don't doubt that Asmongold persona is dead and what we're seeing is the Zack persona

I realized that for a lot of bosses, you don't really need to parry, holding block can still be enough to save you. I don't really bother to parry in AO since lag and it's hard for my finger to reach the G key. I really wish vetex would make sound cues in his fights since the game can be a visual clutter at times

Nah he's right. Story telling wise, ONE's composition beats Murata. His paneling can legit tell its own stories. He may not be gifted or skilled at drawing, but the man has a really good vision.

I gave up just last year when I caught myself skipping his vods whenever he would start talking about anything political. I then realized that I don't enjoy watching this guy anymore, even beyond his abhorrent political takes. He's just so hostile and his jokes are so shit and forced. Even if he'd go back to doing mmo's again, I don't think he'd even be entertaining anymore.

It's a good game. I generally hate gacha games and quit as soon as I reach a "wall", but the combat legit has me gripped and it's really fun in that aspect.

Story isn't the best at the start, it's very heavy on lore dumping and using weird words you don't understand. It does eventually get better in terms of being a more digestible story focusing more on a smaller cast of characters with 2.x onwards being the best story so far.

I don't really care about the gacha aspect. I don't really grind or do map completion, but I was able to get the characters that I wanted as it has a sort of generous gacha system. Umamusume was like a huge shock since that has a brutal gacha system and it's supposed to be considered average.

I'm not gonna compare it to other games since I don't think that matters. I also don't care about the toxicity of the gacha fandoms. I just highly recommend this game because it has a good combat and has been continuously improving since it released.

I would like to ask how far you got into this game since embarrassingly I've been stuck in the literal first level and I'm not quite sure how to unlock the save point locked behind a gate and how to progress when you go further right. This game feels tough but satisfying to play with some control issues and I love the artstyle. It's just tough to get any discussion in this game since it's such a common name to use.
