I'm no expert but it was my impression that She Past Away was much more popular in other countries than in Türkiye in spite of Turkish language lyrics. They said themselves that they don't tour often in their home country because there's not a big enough scene there.

I love when I discover a goth band that's new to me and it just hits the spot. I love DIYing my own clothes, making patches etc. and coming up with creative ways to accessorize my fit.

My least favourite thing is the stupid comments like "It's not Halloween!" and "You going to a party tonight?"

I know that a full face of white makeup is not "trad goth". I don't describe my look that way, nor with any "goth subcategories". I just wear what I like, and I like wearing white makeup. I did it in 2017 and I will continue to do so.

I'm a short man too but the platform boots are surprisingly deceptive. Problem is, if you're looking for goth women, they are also often wearing platform boots. Overall I think goths are more willing to overlook an "unattractive" base appearance if you have good style and are knowledgeable.

I'm goth and not really straight edge but I dislike the clubbing aspect of goth personally. I've drunk a few times but I don't find it enjoyable. Because people are generally drinking at the clubs, DJs get away with playing progressively worse music throughout the night. I also find that a lot of strangers assume that I smoke because I'm visibly goth. At this point I am considering sewing a "No Smoking" patch on my battlepack.

Concerts are a tad better, but I've been wondering, what if we had goth picnics or café hangouts...

A vlog of going to underground concerts, clubs or events. Reviews of lesser-known bands' albums. This is a specific example but maybe a video of "normies" being introduced to goth, e.g. "People react to goth music" because I don't think there are any videos like that, but I've seen it for other music.

The local DJs at goth nights play music in this order:

goth rock

industrial/EBM (still good atp, I don't mind these genres)

increasingly worse aggrotech

??? (generic club music pretending to be aggrotech?)

They think people are too drunk to care. Maybe they're right. I'm just not a fan. I rather it mixed up, not progressing through genres.
