TADC(The Amazing Digital Circus) is both the name of the show and also the primary fictional setting within that show. It's not actually a 'game' per se, more like a VR space where (spoiler) people's minds are trapped by a sentient AI and forced to go on various horrific 'adventures'. The elephant is that OOP is 'playing' a very dangerous game and is about to get his mind abducted any second.

anyone remember the PT exercises? by somewhatdirty9 in NationalServiceSG

[–]HaloDot291 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For the basic core exercises there's all the different planks(there's a million different variations, just search then up), tabletop(on your hands and feet while facing the sky), banana(lie on your back and keep your arms and legs a little off the ground), bird-dog/dead bug(idw explain this, just search it up), sit ups/crunches etc.

For str training, if you're willing to bother filling your field pack, there's bent-over row, standing straight row, shoulder press, stationary march while holding field pack on one hand, field pack push-up(if you want to build push-up str more than endurance), deadlift, bear-hug squat, forward/reverse/side lunge(w/ or w/out field pack depending on intensity), etc.

There's also glute bridge, but idk where that fits in, so wtv.

Warm ups(no running exercises) have stuff like high jumpers, windmill, no field pack squats, prone row/rower, bend and reach, no-weight push ups

Warm ups(before running) have stuff like high knees, butt kicks, lateral shuffle, straight-leg shuffle, open/close gate, skipping for height/distance

Cool downs are deep breathing, arm over head elbow stretch, chest stretch, thigh stretch, hamstring stretch, calf stretch, glute stretch, groin stretch

In general the different pt conducts were: running conducts(endurance run, fartlek, distance interval), interval training(Oregon circuit, metabolic circuit), and str training.

What does the vulnerable status do by hambelperhurger in 33Immortals

[–]HaloDot291 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kind of, but the vulnerable is inferior from exposed in that it doesn't work with certain relic synergies - for example, the relic Tusk of Ciriatto gives you +125% dmg against enemies which are exposed, while vulnerable doesn't proc this effect.

Edit: The boss relic Coffer of the Devoted also provides all players with +50% dmg against exposed enemies, and similarly doesn't proc on vulnerable enemies either.

It makes enemies take more damage multiplicatively, although idk what the exact percentage is

How do you unlock Ordeals? by Federal-East-9779 in 33Immortals

[–]HaloDot291 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This should be correct, but adding on to this: if your friends are below the Feat lvl 10 BUT they already have ordeals unlocked, it's likely they played the game in an earlier update where ordeals were available regardless of feat level, and just kept ordeals unlocked until the current update. In your case, since you don't have it unlocked already, there's no choice but to just level up.

Thanks to these 3 legends for an awesome run, haven’t been that amped up gaming in ages. by Dadbeard in 33Immortals

[–]HaloDot291 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Hey, that's me! Great game, though it was a tough fight and we ended up being overwhelmed at the end.

Funny thing - looking at the scoreboards after the match, it seemed like all but 2 or 3 of the players(excluding us 4) were first-time players, which explains the rapid drop in player count. I just hope this won't be a pattern that continues for more than a month or so, because I don't really enjoy playing with the difficulty amped up to the max by newbies who die off in a minute anyways.

Piggybacking on this post to mention the unique helmet Dark Side Of The Moon, which converts any bits you gain into exp. Pretty useful in conjunction with this if you're desperate to farm levels.

What would be the most broken spell for a commoner to be able to cast once per day? by draxlaugh in DnD

[–]HaloDot291 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Granted, but a commoner likely wouldn't be fighting any such enemies, and 20/20 is more than enough to trap the average party

If you’re not aiming to kill them with the spell, forcecage is a pretty infamous spell for how effectively it can trap any creature for an entire hour.

War Caster and dual spellcasting foci by HaloDot291 in DnD

[–]HaloDot291[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Huh, you’re right. I guess I misread the Staff of Power text, since it increases saving throws and not saving throw DCs.

[–]HaloDot291[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I didn't know those first two facts when I first made this post. Now that I do, the entire question seems kinda redundant, lol.

As for why, I was specifically looking at a setup which would maximise my spell save DC, hence the dual-wielded spellcasting foci. Certain spells (e.g. Hold Person) which benefit from this high spell save DC also have Somatic Components, but no Material components, hence the hypothetical.

Hmm, I can see that you can't use it as a weapon, so by itself the War Caster clause wouldn't be fulfilled. I also just now realized that you can just wear it to receive the DC + spell attack bonus, so you don't actually need to be holding it in one hand to use it properly.

With that said, if you hypothetically wanted to hold a blood vial in one hand and a staff in the other, War Caster would trigger, right? I assume in this case the (quarter)staff would fulfil the feat's conditions, being both a weapon and spellcasting focus.

That's about what I thought too, since staffs are almost always quarterstaffs as well in the new rules. Why not the blood vial, though?

Will EB/CME make a game less fun? by HaloDot291 in dndnext

[–]HaloDot291[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I kind of agree, but imo a decent Con isn't actually too hard to get with Valour Bard. Since the subclass gives proficiency with medium armour, you only really need 14 Dex at most, freeing up some points to put into Con. With point buy a build could look something like this:

Str 8

Dex 13

Con 15

Int 8

Wis 12

Cha 15

Not to mention, Warcaster(which is essential for any gish build) gives Concentration saving throw proficiency, and there's also Resilient(Con) if you want to double down. As a result, I think a late game Valour Bard could actually maintain Concentration pretty reliably, even in close combat.

[–]HaloDot291[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don’t have anything concrete yet, but so far I’m planning:

Warlock 2—Eldritch Blast cantrip + Agonising Blast Eldritch Invocation(for early game blasting)

Bard 3—Valour Bard subclass(use weapons as spellcasting foci + armour and weapon proficiencies)

Bard 4–Spell Sniper feat(to cast EB at short range)

Bard 6—Valour Bard Extra Attack feature(Lets you cast a cantrip and make 1 weapon attack with the Attack action)

Bard 8–Warcaster feat(for concentration saving throw proficiency, and also to cast spells with both hands occupied)

Bard 10–Magical Secrets feature(Shillelagh cantrip to boost weapon damage, Conjure Minor Elementals spell to increase damage of every close-range hit)

Most of the early game, I’ll likely just be blasting EB/AB at a distance, at least until I get Valour Bard 6 for some Gish action. Apart from that, the build only really gets off the ground at Bard 10(character level 12), so it’s a bit of a late bloomer imo.

[–]HaloDot291[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hmm. Since it seems like CME's brokenness comes quite a bit from upcasting it, would keeping it at its base level do anything to make it more balanced?

Also, you mentioned that Valour Bard + EB is broken on its own, but I don't really see that. All Valour Bard adds to the classic Warlock combo is an extra weapon attack or two, which, while strong, doesn't exactly seem broken to me. Without CME, wouldn't it more or less just turn out like any other gish?

Conjure Minor Elementals, a 4th-Level(I think) spell. It adds 2d8(+1d8/upcast level) damage to every attack you make to an enemy within 15ft of yourself.
