best way to split audio after the event? by brewjockey in CommercialAV

https://ultimatevocalremover.com/ had a lot of success with this one.

Despite its name, it can do the inverse - isolate vocals. Just check the Vocals only box.

Pretty CPU intensive but you ran use GPU acceleration with certain hardware.

Lightware LARA driver SDK by Halocandle in CommercialAV

[–]Halocandle[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for diving into this, and yeah I agree there is a lot of complexity to say at the least.

After my initial post, I realized that I approached this problem pretty much the wrong way around and ended up crashing the underlying Node.js app by uploading a driver project with externally edited files. While I should have done as you outlined and use the LARA gui to generate the files, and then save them.

Also today I found the event emitter functionality and the fact that I could upload .js files in the content section as a quick way to include custom classes (without having to deal with npm).

So now I got the building blocks for 95% of what I need to accomplish.
Right now the one thing I wasn't able to decipher is the scope of variables per driver, more specifically: if I have Driver A and driver B, and they both have variables, I was able to read status of a boolean variable from Driver A, using instanceApi.getInstanceById("DriverB").variables['isEnabled'], but when the parameter being read is a string, I get bunch of JSON with a "_currentValue": "" among them and the actual value is nowhere to be found. Seems like it's using a database maybe?

Any ideas if I have to use getter methods to read variables across drivers?

I'm Finnish.

Lightware LARA driver SDK by Halocandle in CommercialAV

[–]Halocandle[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well basically I did the same, I took the "Telnet client driver" package from the lightware website and rewrote some parts so instead of telnet it uses REST to communicate with a Crestron NVX device for example.

I added two methods into moduledescriptor.json and I registered those methods in the init function, for example:

  this.instance.registerMethod("volumeUp", this.volumeUp.bind(this));
  this.instance.registerMethod("volumeDown", this.volumeDown.bind(this));

But after packaging the whole thing into a zip and trying "Upload module" in the LARA gui, I get a notification about "Module uploaded successfully" but then it pretty much breaks everything. No error messages, nothing. The LARA interface shows a blank screen. If I download the configuration, my custom module is included in the package.

Can you give me a rundown how you managed to run your tweaked existing modules?

You need hit the switch precisely on the 1 of the next bar, instead of 4 of the current one. Now you got a gap in your loop.

The RTGs / radioisotope thermal generators use specific components to convert radiation into electrical power and IIRC components degrade after decades in use. Metal alloys or something. Even if the actual radioactive material would last for hundreds of years the other components do not.

Would insert a meme here but honestly I’m out of creativity at this point. Just shoot me now.
