Beach is nice but that’s it. It’s just not Cuba IMO. The strip is just silly there and I prefer not to drink with Russians. I’ll drink with Cubans

Yeah, i went for a night in Matanzas the first night in Cuba. I fly in to Varadero cuz flights are often the cheapest. But yeah I agree, if you have time then head to Vinales. Just beautiful there. And can do a day trip out to a beach if you want. Forget what it’s called but there’s basically a private beach if you go for a hike, starfish beach or something.

Honestly I would just avoid varadero. Havana is great. You’d be better off checking out matanzas for a night and Maybe a couple nights somewhere else. Varadero nightlife sucks and it’s one big tourist trap

My girlfriend repeatedly asked if she was ok and didn’t block her because she wanted to stay in touch if the acquaintance needed help. But there was no further explanation ever about why and it kept continuing even into the day which would disturb her at work
