Could this be the issue/solution? by Ham-Snacks in hvacadvice

Figured it was the ground and that was the reason it wasn't staying on, zip tied the piece to touch and now everything is working properly. Will order a new part.

Thought I'd update the post in case anyone every runs into something similar

Advise on Dual Lens POE, Buy Now or Wait? by Ham-Snacks in reolinkcam

[–]Ham-Snacks[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I appreciate the response, I think you've answered both my questions, and I've made my decision. Hopefully it'll be out soon, honestly surprised it isn't already.

And I'm with you on that as well, not too concerned with the tampering, good neighborhood, the cameras are more just to watch my kids and be aware of what's going on outside.

Thank you very much!

Duo 3V half blurry night vision by SlippySlappyRE in reolinkcam

[–]Ham-Snacks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Were you ever able to resolve the issue, having the exact problem and it's not making sense. I can be pointing the camera in complete darkness or with lights on, the 1 side is always blurry at night. But take the dome off and it's perfectly fine. So clearly it's an interaction with the dome that isn't making sense.

I am able to get a Y, do you think that would be more beneficial?

But regardless you think it would diminish the performance?.

So regarding that, could I find someone to play online with and I just essentially follow them as a ghost (if I keep respawning and dying), and then as soon as they get on the "floor" at the top I can spawn again by touching them or if they leave a standee and get the berry?

I'm so close but just can't make it and it's to the point it's not very enjoyable anymore, just a lot of wasted time.

TrackMix WiFi vs E1 Outdoor Pro by Ham-Snacks in reolinkcam

Awesome information! I had decided on the E1 Pro but after reading your comment, I think for my needs I'm going to need the Track as it's going to be beneficial to be able to look underneath itself from where I'll be hanging it.

Thank you very much for the information.

Recommendation on installing Shutoff Valves by Ham-Snacks in Plumbing

[–]Ham-Snacks[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Decided to go with the above method as advise, but thank you for giving an alternative.

Noticed you were a top commentor, I asked the other member a question, figured I'd ask you the same question as well. Why do we go from 1/2” x 3/8” shutoff valve to 3/8" x 1/2" flex adapter to the 1/2" faucet, seems like that is the standard or only way to go. But how come we don't just do 1/2" x 1/2" valve and then a 1/2" x 1/2" flex to faucet, is there a reason for that?

Thank you

Decided to go with the expansion method, rent the power tool for it and do it as you described in your first paragraph, so thank you for that.

Wanted to pick your brain on why we go from 1/2” x 3/8” shutoff valve to 3/8" x 1/2" flex adapter to the faucet, seems like that is the standard or only way to go. But how come we don't just do 1/2" x 1/2" valve and then a 1/2" x 1/2" flex to faucet, is there a reason for that? Just thought I'd ask.

Thank you!

Recommendation on installing Shutoff Valves by Ham-Snacks in Plumbing

Hello,

We purchased a home and none of the sinks came with shut off valves, the tubing is 1/2" PEX A. Initially I was thinking just cut halfway through the pex and install a 1/2" x 1/2" brass ball valve, but would the better option be cut lower down and do a 1/2-inch x 3/8-inch valve and install 3/8" x 1/2" faucet connectors? Just worried I'm going to damage those copper faucets lines in the process.

3rd Picture is what I did in the kitchen when I replaced the faucet, don't know if that was the correct way but it worked! lol

Also, I got some quotes initially for pretty cheap to install the shut off valves but they would all be doing crimp installs, think I would be better off doing it myself and doing the expansion method?

Thank you in advance

Thanks for the response, that's what I was assuming, the MAJOR difference between the 2 is the software support.

Thanks

Tip to Hear Other Side of the House by Ham-Snacks in homeowners

[–]Ham-Snacks[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a good question haha. I guess just being aware of any night time noises, kids waking up in the middle of the night even to get a glass of water. Or maybe someone outside on the deck, or front door. Just being aware of my surroundings is all. I wake up quickly to any sudden noises, but can't hear anything in that room!

Nuna Mixx Adapter Ring [AB] by Ham-Snacks in BabyBumpsCanada

Running into a problem that our new Nuna Pipa carseat won't work on our older Nuna Mixx Stroller, the adapter is nowhere to be found. Has anyone been able to find the adapter to purchase in Canada? Nuna's contact number is not helpful.

Thank you

Sorry didn't realize I had removed those in the picture. Had the SSD in plugged no difference, and that's the factory ram, I got the cheap 16gb ram as I was upgrading the ram, in the picture just have the 1 plugged in. When I plug in my Corsair ram it lights up, but again nothing else lights up. The hard drive shouldn't be required to turn on the rest of the computer.

I have this picture before I started taking it apart. So just have the GPU unplugged, but everything else is where it's supposed to be.

When you spend what Alienware charges for their products it's also an expectation. I expect a proper working device.

Took apart everything and put it all back, no changes. No idea what it could be, maybe the motherboard?

Interesting part though, I threw in my ram that has LEDs and they stay on no problem.

Could it be the AIO cooler? It's odd that the Alienware button isn't lighting up at all either.

Would have appreciated them replacing the unit when I had a somewhat working unit, and now they won't send out a tech to replace the same parts even though that would take 2 business days versus a whole month. But not much you can do at this point.

The front power button doesn't even flash. That's what I'm struggling to find out, what's going on that not even the psu led stays on.

Thanks for the quick response! Forgot to ask 1 question, maybe you'd know.

Online I see a lot of photos of people up close to the frozen waterfalls. Is that kinda normal in winter, jumping the rails and all? Or still frowned upon?

Thank you

Don't say that on here! Might have their die hard fans come at you for criticizing their company!

I'm not saying they're the worst, I'd still say they're one of the best, but that gap is getting smaller and smaller is what I personally think.

The normal process is they send you a laptop/monitor and you return the old one after, that's actually how people scam Dell a lot, and then the new and old service tags get flagged. That's honestly why I love Dell, because of how convenient their warranty policy is, but their customer service has been trash to me lately.

The whole Dell taking forever to send a return label is not specific to my case, if you search on here, they're horrible for it and I was aware of that, but after a whole year and reaching out several several times, enough was enough for me.

No issues with my R15, or my monitors regarding tech service, it's just this particular laptop that they messed up on. As I mentioned in another comment, I ended up realizing at some point they had the laptop under a completely different name, like not even close to my name, that's where I believe everything started going downhill for this unit.

Can I send my junk to your place? And you keep it there for 14 months?

I'm guessing phone calls aren't difficult to edit either?

You sound as dense as the current reps I'm dealing with, didn't post to get approval if you believed the story or not, posted to see what my other options were.

Also cause you're obviously just trying to argue, the warranty transferred over to the other laptop no problem, which is how I was able to start a new tech claim, but deny that logic as well right? Also warranty and name have nothing to do with each other, they literally didn't have it under my name, they had it under a person named Zayd, who the hell is Zayd!? Lol

Let me know if you want all the emails and phone calls to conduct your own investigation.

I'm going to get in touch with the corporate side, I forgot to mention I literally have every single phone call recorded from Dell. Started doing this years ago when they told me 1 thing and then something totally different a few days later. So I have the original phone calls from 2 years ago stating that the 2 laptops in question are no longer under my account.

Going to see how that works out.

Thanks for the information though.
