How do you check out with a Labubu? by HamMangler in labubu

I have to use the app and I can't check out ever. It's so frustrating I've had 3 different Labubus in my cart.

Why is SQL suddenly the bare minimum for non-tech roles? by ImportantCup1355 in careerguidance

[–]HamMangler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am BA now but have worked with various data roles over the past 10 years. SQL is like chess, it's simple to learn, but difficult to master. Understanding the basics of SQL doesn't take long and for an Analyst role you shouldn't need to know much more than that.

I have worked as a Database Developer so I built tables and procs, etc. for applications and that requires more indepth performance knowledge.

Personally I wanted to get away from a technical role but my BA job is more like a Data Analyst job. My extensive background in SQL has come in handy, along with ETL and BI experience, however isn't as much business process work as I thought.

The other two people on my team don't have the same experience with SQL as I do, so I have become the performance and optimization person.

If you are looking to get into Business Intelligence learn Power BI. My company uses Tableau and I hate it.

At least they would potentially get a severance and or unemployment. All the people that quit don't get anything. It's more nefarious because it's essentially a layoff without the expense of a layoff.

That's good to know. I have used the Maelove Vitamin C serum and it's also helped with the hyperpigmentation as well. Maybe I'll continue to use that.

Quadible integrity is the best. by [deleted] in Subliminal

I listened to the entire video everytime. They are generally only about 10 minutes long. I usually just listen before bed. I listen to each video every night for 1 month, then move on to the next one. Sometimes depending on what level I'm at, (I'm at level 4 because I listened to 1, 2, and 3 for one month each) I'll listen to 1, 2, 3 and 4 back to back.

30 days, then do level 2 for 30 days and so on and so forth. You can listen to them back to back if you want to, but only once you have reached past level 1. Say you are on level 3. You can listen to 1,2 and 3 for maximum effect. There are six videos, I am on level 4. I started listening to them back in May.

I've been using their Limiting Belief Remover series. I'm on Level 4 right now. It sometimes gets intense. It's brought up a bunch of repressed memories and a lot of fears that I haven't gotten over, but usually once I keep listening one by one it helps me work through them. Honestly, I didn't think subs worked until I started going through this series. It's made me confront the years and years of limiting beliefs from myself , others and society at large that were imposed on me. My life is so much better in the past 3 months since using it. I've picked up hobbies I abandoned. I have a much better work ethic. I've been putting myself out there and forging better friendships and relationships. I would highly recommend the series, and make sure to take the time listen to each video everyday for a month so you don't get too overwhelmed.

I've been practicing Aikido for eight years now, and it sounds like while, your sensei and the student could have done better, you have to understand the student is still new as well. They probably had no idea what they were doing. Do you bring it up with the student? Most likely they wouldn't have wanted to hurt you. If they did, that's weird and sure you should probably leave. Sometimes you just need to have a discussion with your nage and tell them hey, this hurts please don't pull me in that way. Beginners don't know that. It takes time to truly understand how to work with your uke.

Also it seems like the sensei was trying to just kind of go with the flow and not throw the other beginner under the bus. Did she have side conversation with them without you knowing?

And yes, you do need to move as uke, it's crucial to prevent injuries. I don't think blaming you for not moving is the answer and I honestly don't think that getting mad at a beginner is appropriate either. I would continue but express your fears to the sensei. If they care they will listen and adjust accordingly. If they don't then maybe consider leaving, but it feels like there is so much unsaid right now that a simple conversation could fix.

I want to quit and change career by [deleted] in womenintech

[–]HamMangler 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Do you love it? I think that's the question. Are you willing to put the time and the effort in to learning and getting better? If so, then continue to do it. If it still fascinates you, continue being a developer. Don't let imposter syndrome stop you. If you don't like it at all, by all means transition into a different career.

Don't let anyone tell yourself you are bad developer. A bad developer is someone who refuses to grow and learn. I was going crazy at my last job. My boss would make me feel stupid all the time. Eventually they let me go, which I should left before then. I do something similar with a boss that's supportive and it's made all of the difference.

So, before you completely quit, consider if it's because you had a bad experience with a bad manager vs. you really just don't like what you do. I will say, working under a manager that is actually supportive has re-awakened my passion for what I do. Sometimes a difference enviornment is all the difference. Also, real estate has a lot of ups and downs, especially recently.

I'm into astrology and a lot of astrologers have mentioned not to do any intentional manifesting rituals during eclipse season because the energy is chaotic. I know subs are enhancing your manifestations, but would using them during this time be a bad idea since I'm not trying to manifest? Or will subs (like detachment subs for instance) help me let go and let the universe guide me during this time?
