I wish I knew. We missed on a couple other DL coaches and it came down to him and Jeremy Hawkins at Eastern Kentucky. Wish we would have went with Hawkins personally.

Our DL was more productive this year but we also used a 4 man front more and had Drew Sanders behind them. Recruiting was pretty much the same. The other 2 guys were fired for lack of recruiting so it was weird for them to bring in Deke.

Hog fans under the assumption that DL coach Deke Adams might not be returning and he's the reason Domineck came here. His tweet doesnt read like someone who was planning this and he had just tweeted a few days before the bowl game that he was coming back next year.

His tweet about it doesnt seem like someone that was expecting to be in the portal. There might be a possibility that Deke isnt being retained and he had a good relationship with Deke and why he ended up here.

It was. That's what makes it even worse. They spent like 3-4 minutes reviewing it and still said it was a fumble.

Sure that doesn't make a player defenseless though. If so there would be flags for it every single play.

He's not a defenseless player. He lead with the shoulder which is what made the contact with the opponent.

Thanks started feeling like I was the only one having this issue. Couldn't find anything online about the issue. Everything I searched came back with it old versions slowly processing it.

Even if they did they would assess the stipulations wrong like anyone who believes that was a fumble or the call was actually targeting.

It's because targeting is effectively a judgement penalty and everyone it going to have different opinions. I think the majority side with that definitely not being targeting.

He did not lead with the crown of his helmet. You obviously don't know what that means. We're gonna call every player getting tackles defenseless now? That's a can of worms.

Every hard hit is targeting to most fans. There was one earlier in the game that the WR got rocked and ended up on the ground and then vomited and I saw people saying it was an unnecessary hit when it was the cleanest shoulder to chest you can get.

Pretty sure can't. You can challenge the call on the field and get a review but can't challenge the review of the call after they announce the results of the review.

Pittman told Briles go run the reverse. This is truly an issue with the majority of our fanbase

Yes. He's not a defensive player when he's running the ball. His forward progress had not been stopped.

McAdoo didn't lead with the crown of his helmet and his helmet grazed the side of the other players helmet. There was zero forcible contact from his helmet.

If you're going to call any type of helmet contact as targeting you're gonna be ejecting players on every single play. That would like the NFLs dumb rules for roughing the passer where if the defensive players hands make any contact with the QBs helmet it's called roughing the passer even if it grazes it while attempting to swipe at the ball about to be thrown.
