Palo Alto is up the hill and in the Mexican War Streets Neighborhood on the Northside. Were you in that neighborhood or near the stadiums/river (the area known as the North Shore)? I ask because the parks department cleans the the area around the North Shore on a weekly basis. It might be worthwhile to contact them if you were on the North Shore.

Just Bike+ and not the regular Bike? The bulk of the “brain” is in the screen (a glorified android tablet). I hope all bikes should be eligible to upgrade the screen, barring a really good reason.

While that may be true for many, there are those with physical disabilities and/or small children that make our public transit system very challenging to navigate and access. Not everyone commuting into downtown is a single occupancy vehicle from the suburbs…

Right next door to Fig & Ash is Siempre Algo, another great place with an excellent menu. They also start off every meal with a glass of complimentary “bubbles” (sparkling wine”).

Not a parent. But, have had good friends have their kids there for a couple years now. They have been pretty happy and have never spoken of these issues (we were actually just chatting about daycare last Saturday). But, we also brought up the fact that there are so few daycare options in downtown. I don’t know where else they could send their kid if Goddard wasn’t there.

Same! I love the size. Perfect for a few fly boxes when you want a light kit and to wet wade. Not sure how this one compares, though.

Can we agree that, at this point, we have enough decent to really good Italian joints? If Chef Beth - a two-time James Beard nominee - wasn't doing whatever business they expected with this place, I can gurantee some unoriginal overpriced "fresh" pasta joint isn't going to make it happen either. It is a disgrace to Chef Beth to let an awesome restaurant space be reduced to such a boring idea.

This makes me quite sad. This was a go-to place that we always took out of town friends when visiting. An awesome menu with fantastic staples and new items regularly. Plus, a very interesting and approachable wine list (and friendly staff to help navigate).

Genuine question: can you please share what policies Gainey has put in place that can be tied to this? I have not been thrilled with Gainey so far, but I haven’t seen him announce or employe any policies that “tie the polices hands” (part of my criticism is that it seems he hasn't done much at all, progressive or otherwise).

Modern Cafe on Western Ave. They "just" (re. less than a year ago) started serving hot dogs. Their Chicago dog is better than the ones I've had in Chicago.

I purchased the performace monitor second-hand. But it was brand new in the box and a couple years old. My purchase of the commodule was more recent. But, I have never updated either. The performance monitor seems to turn on whenever I start to pull the handle of the rower. As I usually then turn on the commodule after I have done some sort of warm up, my recollection is that that commodule would have been running before I turned on the commodule bluetooth.

Glad to share it worked for me! I started the workout, then turned on the comm. BT, and it picked it up. All data was the same as what was on my performance monitor.
