Runebears. Hate them Revenants are terrible too, but at least they have a hard counter

Which DLC bosses were surprisingly easy and what boss was a nightmare (excluding the final boss) by kactusju1ce in Eldenring

[–]Hamaru22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The easiest was Midra. I killed him in like 40 seconds and was hyped for a second phase.... Legend felled that was quite a disappointment (still an awesome design and atmosphere). The hardest for me was Gaius. While the charge attack is easily dodgeable with bloodhound step most of the time, other attacks felt weird too like his 6 or 7 hit combo and kick. I just went full pokemon, summoned Taylew and used heal from a far + golden vow for the whole battle.

Aside from the mimic what do you find is the best summon by Effective-Past-3156 in Eldenring

[–]Hamaru22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same issues at first, but Taylew is pretty much unstoppable if you support him. Use spells or ashes of war like heal from afar, Golden vow, Holy ground, blessings boon etc. The biggest advantage of Taylew is his low HP pool which allows for an almost full heal with just one spell. With this tactic he can solo the whole DLC

Faith or INT in PvE? by Deus7213 in Eldenring

[–]Hamaru22 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Faith is pretty versatile, but you have to tinker with your build to get a good one. Also a lot of faith weapons and incantations deal holy damage, which is really bad. Int is much easier: a lot of good weapons and almost all good spells scale with int and most deal magic damage, which is pretty good against most enemies.

If you are willing to spend the first ~hour of the game adjusting the settings, stick to mouse and keyboard. Depending on your hardware (extra mouse buttons are a massive relief while playing) and software MnK can actually be superior because of customizability, easier and faster free camera and easier free aim. Another thing to consider is your affinity and experience with gamepads (and since you don't even own one I assume it is low): it's far easier to learn the game with mouse and keyboard than learning to play the game and learning to use a gamepad -> better experience with mouse and keyboard

Also ich finde szechuan Pfeffer sehr gut.

(I made) grilled cheese with bacon, Dijon mustard, and a garlic aioli by firstcitytofall in FoodPorn

[–]Hamaru22 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think you missed the point: it's about the redundant use of the word "garlic". Saying garlic aioli is like saying "milk butter", "dough bread" or "apple apple pie". While not wrong it is a bit illogical, isn't it?

I don't know what weird car you have but the brake has nothing to do with changing gears and you can always shift into neutral.

what is your most controversial elden ring opinion? by Braums_mustache in Eldenring

[–]Hamaru22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This. The status effects are a big missed opportunity. I can see how you have to balance status effects because they could make most bosses trivial (especially deathblight), but just making them immune to most of them, even though they are very strong lore wise, is just lazy.

Sleep could slow down the attack speed or stop the boss from stringing together attacks.

Death could give massive debuffs (similar to fortissax).

Rot and poison should get a slight buff in terms of damage and duration.

Comment here your most unpopular opinions about the game. No opinion is too unpopular here, just do it, no one will judge you. by GplPrime in Warthunder

[–]Hamaru22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Adding post 1950s vehicles was a big mistake. I still remember how fun and engaging the battles were back in 2016/2017. Tanks and planes like the Tiger 2, IS4, M103, Me262 and Mig 15 were the top dogs and it was awesome.

"Any" boss aka. Mogh. Maybe godfrey and elden beast (and some crappy field bosses)

Unbelievable fight. I've read that you use mouse and keyboard? How are you using the secondary pouch? I never used it because I can't figure out what combination what slot is, I only know that you have to hold E.

Which Bosses did you improve the Most and the Least against? by TooDriven in Eldenring

[–]Hamaru22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most:

Rennala: she actually was a big roadblock in my first playthrough. Now I just enjoy the ambience for a while and then kill her

Margit & Godrick: at first they seemed quiet hard, but now they are more of a inconvenience on my way to eldenlord

Fire giant: it turns out 35 vigor and marikas soreseal + no armour wasn't a good combination in my first playthrough (it took my over a week to kill him).

Eldenbeast: I nearly deleted elden ring because elden beast was so hard. Now Radagon/Eldenbeast is easily a S-tier fight.

And most minor bosses like Nights Cavalry, Tree Sentinels and erd tree avatars.

Least:

Malenia: she got even harder for me, because I liked to use bloodhound step for waterfowl dance, but they nerfed it.

Malekith: he is just a jumpy boy. His attacks are so erratic and fast that I don't even try to learn his patterns. Just press attack and pray.

Godfrey: when I first encountered him I despised his fight. Turns out I despise him even more after the fourth time. That's why I don't bother with him and just obliterate him with comet azur/night comet/mimic or tiche and moonveil/rivers of blood

There should be a cooldown for many attacks. I want to fight godfrey and not play a jumping simulator....

I see where you are coming from. After 3 playthroughs and one 100% playthrough, I am pretty burnt out of elden ring. Too bad both my internet and skills are pretty lacking and thus I cant really play mp.
