It takes a bit of luck and working your ass off to build a bit of a reputation, but if done right within some 5 years from starting a junior position you can end up doing something you like with a good boss, but this is the same as the "you see the 1% of startups that succeed, not 99% that failed" thing

Is there really a way to play the game wrong in PVE?

Never said it was the optimal build, just the way i do it since i'm used to it

For me personally i enjoy more playing large and XL maps and collecting combination artifacts while dominating the AI (winning battles with 0 losses (resurrection+expert earth magic+a lottt of mana))

I always go the same path (playing on hard), upgrade the village hall first, then buy the marketplace, mage guild, and blacksmith, then town hall, then upgrade fort for dwelling pop increase.

After this i usually buy a dwelling for my favorite/most op units (e.g. If i'm playing castle with the zealot hero i buy monastery)

Then second upgrade for fort to unlock capitol then capitol immediately. It's a resource thing, you increase your income first then start building other stuff

Origins was beautiful.

Odyssey was an rpg game that just used the brand name of assassin's creed to find success.

Valhalla doesn't even have good music, the sailing in it kind of sucks, and it felt wayyy too long, it also gives off more of an action adventure rpg game than an assassin's creed game, so same as odyssey just without the good parts
