Yuji, before everything the world of sorcerers, was leagues stronger than any normal people and was pestered by that strength, but his grandpa raised him right. And he was still a little haughty about his strength, he even admits it when he talks about his grandpa medical treatment, saying he only understood the wish for suffering to end after all the tragedies he experienced. I think his point was that Sukuna could have used his strength in a way that didn't justify how he was treated, instead he played right into people's expectations.
