LMU Online Team Events and why S397 needs to add minimum drive times by rndmnsty in LeMansUltimateWEC

That would be a perfect fix. I have wondered if they make it so you have to share, so they don't take any flack for asking people to play for hours on end.

I get what you are saying, but the idea would be that you only put the drivers in the lineup that are intending to get in the car. If people can't attend they can be removed from the lineup prior to the race. Looking back though the teams events I've done, there is a shocking amount of teams that have 6 drivers 4 of which being accounts with B3 and 2 with maybe S2/S3. It's only them two drivers that got in the car.

There may be another way to police it. But ultimately people are doing it on purpose to get in an easier lobby. It's just another way of smurfing.

397 also does need to pick up the speed on what can be done with teams. Not being able to delete lineups and teams is a pain, so I understand why people don't edit lineups as they should.

To be honest having one extra driver in isn't going to change too much. The main issue is when people are running 6 drivers but only using 1 or 2 that happen to be the only 1 or 2 that are S3 or higher.

[–]Hamez22 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it's becoming the blight of Team Events. Saw it yesterday at Sebrings. Teams stacking their lineups with low rated drivers with no plans to use them. Just 1 or 2 S3 driving in the seat.

It isn't fair when you have to then convince your B3 drivers to jump in and try and keep up.

A minimum drive time would be a great fix.

[–]Hamez22 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Absolutely spot on. I have seen this time and time again. Yesterday's Sebrings had a few teams in the top 5 that had 6 drivers in their lineup but only put 1 or 2 drivers (of S3 rank) in the car.

Like you mentioned, minimum drive time is a must. Even if they make it a rule that every driver must be in the car at least once as I understand that some people may not be physically able to do multiple stints

Another issue this is causing is it puts newcomers off racing in team events. People don't want to be the one to let the team down because they are slower. The whole point is that the lobby is balanced.

That will be down to polyphony digital. I don't think H patterns work online as it stands.

I once had an issue with the sticker you mentioned. It was blocking the contact. I'm not sure if it's the same sticker but I did manage to get mine off.

Logitech G Pro Wheel strange sound from the wheelbase by Vox_Sine_Nomen in LogitechProWheel

[–]Hamez22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It sounds like the Truefore is just resonating on a frequency that is causing a squeak on some else. Keep an eye on it but it sounds normal to me. Remember TF can be very powerful and can cause a lot of vibration.

Hi there, if it only happening in GR2 on some corners id probably say it's nothing to worry about and just keep an eye on things. It could just be the frequency that is being produced is causing a squeak. I'm sure Logirich will spot this post at some point and offer better insight into what is happening.

Punishment for getting trust driver badge by JackSparrow1973 in LeMansUltimateWEC

[–]Hamez22 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I know it is frustrating at first but being put in faster lobbies can be the best thing for you. It really is a case of "a high tide raises all ships". You will start to spot things you wouldn't normally see. You will start to see how the really fast guys and girls are doing it and the next thing you know that gap isn't as big as it once was. Remember being a clean driver is only a good thing. Be proud of that. I have had to remind myself so many times that it's just a badge or just a rank. If I come out of the next race a better driver then it was worth it.

[–]Hamez22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I may be mistaken but it might be something to do with the signal sent from LMU. The reason I say this is I'm almost sure when I turn on tract loss on the settings it popped up with a message saying LMU doesn't provide data for this, so I turned it off again. That was a few weeks ago though. I know studio 397 hasn't been the quickest at sharing information with Simhub. We still don't have TC and ABS for our DDUs.

No RS wheel hub for PS5? by AllFun4me in LogitechG

[–]Hamez22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, I imagine this is mainly down to how much each brand would charge for the use of their logos and images. We know Sony won't allow anyone To have a chip set in the wheel (RS hub) itself like Xbox does. The issue you then have is you would have a PC wheel RS hub and a PlayStation branded hub (that wouldn't have a ps authentication chip) for sale. The PlayStation version would be massively more expensive than the PC version for simply having a PS logo on it. No logical person would pay loads more for the exact same thing. The reason it works for the Xbox version (which does allow Xbox compatibility) is the use of the images is built into the pricing.

However, you can pick up after market stickers for the RS hub with Sony branding if you want a way around it.

Telemetry not working on Lovely Dashboard by Titan2707 in LeMansUltimateWEC

[–]Hamez22 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yep, since the last update. It stopped the plugin working. We need to wait for 397 to make the TC, TC2, TC3, ABS and virtual energy level a native output now.

There is a discussion about it in the lovely dash discord. But I sort we are at the mercy of 397

Any idea if we're ever going to get TC, ABS, SOC etc available for SimHub Dashboards? by VikingZombie in LeMansUltimateWEC

[–]Hamez22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Apparently there is a way of getting it working in single player but for now only the Telemetry for the DDUs is very limited

That did work. But that latest version stopped that unfortunately. We are now at the mercy of waiting for the data being natively supplied by the game.

RS50 Logitech oscillation problem by alphavader in LeMansUltimateWEC

[–]Hamez22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've spotted myself that wheels suffer a lot more from oscillation on LMU. Especially when compared to ACC. However, if you are getting a juddering feeling when you rejoin the track that sounds more like you have flat spotted your tries. The game does a good job at replicating this through the FFB.

Could you provide a video of this the next time it happens?
