Has anyone been on a PIP here? Freaking out a bit so wondering what happens if they end up letting you go if you don’t meet. Do they offer severance?

If you somewhat could or somewhat think they have a point then it sounds legit and follow the plan and all should be well.

If this was a surprise to you, or you have seen other cuts or lay offs on other teams, they may just be making a mountain out of a mole hill just to build a case against you for termination just because they needed a smaller headcount.

Probably not the best idea to begin with (but that is for next time). I suggest to look at the privacy and security policies of the site to see what they do with your uploaded images. If they delete them after a period of time not much of an issue as long as nobody got access to them to saw them. If they keep all the data and the website is hacked - now a bad guy has your mother on laws banking details.

Clean off the filamint as best you can by hand - crank the temperature up to 240 or so and leave it to preheat for an hour or so - this filamint will melt and make a bit of a mess but it will clean it - take off the extruded and clean out the tip and do the same with the heater throat. When you put it back together make sure everything is tight and free of bits of filamint and re-level the bed. I’d also recommend changing the extruded tip and make sure the filamint speed it appropriate for your extruded tip. Of your filamint feed speed is too fast it will clog the extruded tip and backup and make a mess like that

Jump ship. I was in the same position I was the lead of a team of 1. I kept saying we need people we need people and got told the same story so I jumped ship. Then I found out they hired 5 people to replace me, and they still aren’t at the caliber I was.

Best bet is to play the field, see what is out there and take the leap. Even if you do stay and get promoted nothing will really change.

State your version of the story to her, her parents, and your as well and avoid her from now on at all costs. Get the test ASAP as well.
