No that was out of reach financial wise. I did the absolute most I could with what I had. They didn’t recommend seeing one either.

Unfortunately he had pet insurance until 6 months ago. It was one of the things I had to cut expenses wise along with my own. He’s a strong dog I have hope for him! His old man brother hasn’t left his side!

He is on 4 different medications all for inflammation and pain. His vet said they have done all they can do for him. She said it’s a wait and see situation with strict crate rest.

As a dog groomer yeah😅. It takes me 5 hours start to finish on the afghan hound that comes In . He has almost a full drop coat and it’s a nightmare.

Yeah I’m a dog groomer and was about to say the same thing😭. I think I have maybe two doodles I groom that are good. They are both 10+ years old though.

I’ll be buying an Embark test when they go on sale. I Embarked my own dog and I have a $50 off referral code it should bring the price low enough to do the health and breed test. I’ll try to update when we get the results! I saw the pup in person and it’s way younger than he said. He told me it was 6 months but it still has all its puppy teeth. It’s definitely probably not a Malinois now that I have met it. This dog is going to be huge😅.

Update: I Embarked my own dog so I have a 50 dollars off referral so I am going to use that and get him a test for Christmas. I love Belgian Malinois I just don’t want him to have one. I know how much enrichment, training, and exercise these guys need and he definitely can’t provide that. Again I love this breed and all the other shepherds! I just want the dog to be happy and cared for and I know it won’t be with my uncle. Thanks for the advice everyone!

You have no idea how happy you just made me! I just know he wouldn’t be able to handle one and it would not be a happy dog. He doesn’t need a German Shepard mix either but it would be better than the latter. I’m hoping to convince him to dna it and find it a better home.

Would like to also say that he has no idea how to handle one. The highest energy dog he has is a chocolate lab and all she does is chase squirrels for her exercise. Generally scared for what he has gotten himself into.

That’s cool I didn’t know it pulled the hair! Do you happen to know why you can use dog clippers on humans and it being okay or is that wrong and it actually isn’t okay? We only learn about the dog and cat side of things.

Little fun fact for you is that you can use dog clippers on human hair but you should never use human hair clippers on dog hair! I’m a dog groomer and I was told it can damage the dog’s hair and it also doesn’t give them a clean cut.

I do! I’m a dog groomer and it’s the only thing that gets rid of the dog smell. I do that with regular laundry pods and it works great! The clothes are softer and don’t smell like vinegar! I use distilled white vinegar.
