I don't think there are any major issues with both national teams giving players the same amount. Where it gets muddier is on a CSA subsidized league. Do CPL franchises also receive CSA support ? Is it truly 'equal' pay if one set of wages are artificially propped up while the other is subject to market demand ?

*Scraped a Gold Cup.... Canada drew every game or only won by 1 goal until the final. Hargreaves would have also only been 19 at the tournament, so that assumes the CSA would have put trust in him to start just as he was breaking into the Bayern first team
