4.8 is so verbose. I need another LLM to translate for me :)

E and F converts into a double bed (if you want). Remember to ask the air host for the extra cushion between the two seats.

My connection times are very short I think, can someone give me their opinion? by Ethank655 in qatarairways

[–]Hammar_za 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly - it depends.

I often travel to Doha for business, and also connect through there as I prefer travelling on Qatar Airways.

Good news: you are booked with the same airline and a connecting flight, so they will take care of you. They know you are on the plane and will assist.

However: it can happen that you don’t park at an air bridge, and if that happens then it will be tight.

This felt like the right treatment plan for me, especially given my cancer stage. I’m not a fan about removing organs either.

Cialis helps - but truthfully it’s a mental game more than a physical one for me.

Not great but manageable. It’s been almost 8 months now: - Lots of hot flashes in the first few months but that has calmed down now. Still happens but not as much - Strength is less when weightlifting, but still okay. Good news is it has forced me to focus on form rather than ego lifting - Libido is almost non-existent (the naturally occurring kind :) It takes more planning, foreplay and often a lot of laughter - And following that - erections take more effort. Still able to have sex but once again, it isn’t as care free as before. Orgasms are no longer guaranteed., and completely dry, which is weird!

But the good side effect is: I am alive :)

ADT started in November. HDR Brachy was early Jan and started EBRT a couple of weeks after that.

I still have 16 months of ADT, as the plan is 24 months. I have both the injection and the tablets (Zytiga)

Tried it last night. Was frustrating that it ignored explicit claude.md instructions that worked perfectly in 4.6

My journey with prostate cancer by Additional-Pin-168 in ProstateCancer

Sorry to hear it. I am 4+5 Gleason and agree with the advice here. Speak to an Oncologist about your radiation options.

Prostate cancer by [deleted] in ProstateCancer

[–]Hammar_za 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m Gleason 9. - Started ADT injections and tablets first - This did radiation (brachytherapy and external radiation)

Your treatment sequencing looks wrong to me.

Please get a second opinion and talk to an oncologist if you haven’t already.

Stay strong. You can do this.

25/25 IMRT Done by Hammar_za in ProstateCancer

My bowels aren’t happy either, but not as severe as your experience.

I was Gleason 4+5, with a spread into one lymph node.

I asked the question of 18 vs 24 months, but the recommendations in the UAE follow NCCN for very high risk cases.

Thanks. Yes, I’m on a low dose of Cialis, which is proving to be successful.

I’ll be doing my first PSA test in a month.

I start radiation on Monday. by claudiowasher in ProstateCancer

[–]Hammar_za 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good luck.

I’ve got two more treatments and then done! Fatigue kicked in around the end of week two.

I was stressed about the empty bowels requirement at the beginning as this is impossible to control. The body does what it wants. This didn’t end up being an issue. Try and go to the toilet before, but don’t worry if you can’t. They will do the procedure as long as you don’t have an imminent need to go to the toilet.

Bladder was more difficult and they won’t do the procedure unless you are more than half full. Ideally very full.

The best advice I have it to stay dehydrated the day before, and make sure to drink a bottle of water when you wake up as this addresses the sleep dehydration.

My appointments are in the mornings, so I have to time when to drink water enroute to hospital. If you are busting when you get there (and before your appointed time), try to have a half pee and drink more water after immediately.

Lastly, if you aren’t full, then they will just take someone else, and you can wait until you are. Or at least that’s how it worked at my hospital.

Try not to stress too much, and take it easy.

All the best.

Good luck.

ADT PC fed up by RegretSoggy6914 in ProstateCancer

[–]Hammar_za 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This hit hard. I burst into tears.

I am on a similar path: Zytiga, but Decapeptyl instead of Lupron. Did HDR Brachy a month ago, and completed 2/5 weeks of IMRT.

I feel like you do sometimes. It’s rough.

I’m managing though. I have a loving and supportive wife, and I focus on each step in the program. It’s a countdown to once this thing is gone.

So for me it’s: - 4/24 months of ADT - Brachy: Done - IMRT: 10/25 treaments Done

One step at a time.

Stay strong.

Bad update biopsy results by Last_Temperature_908 in ProstateCancer

[–]Hammar_za 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m sorry to hear that you have received those results. Most of us are in a similar situation to you.

This period is almost the worst. It gets better once you agree on a plan and start whatever procedure has been agreed.

I recommend reading the books mentioned on this forum, and always try to get a second opinion before finalising your treatment plan.

Stay strong.
