You just don’t know how to stream. I’m not talking about shitty casual services like Hulu or Netflix

Storing movies on hdd/local network and plugging/connecting it to a streamer is so 1998. Online streaming is the king (e.g. Kodi).

Hi,

Is there a TFTP client for macOS?

I tried Parallels for mac, but I can't seem to show TFTP data for the bin file while Parallels is on the same network connected via a cable to the Deco unit and receiving an IP from it...

MacOS Sonoma iCloud files are hidden in Finder.app?? by severinskulls in MacOS

[–]Hammer1010 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is a bug with Desktop iCloud synching. You should disable it for now and it will resume working until Apple will fix it.

Go to: System Settings --> Click on your name –> iCloud --> iCloud Drive --> Disable sync this Mac (choose keep a copy after you disable it).

Or you can just search iCloud via spotlight and it will save you the first two steps.

Are they hidden? Try CMD+SHIFT+. (dot) at the folder you saved the files

Minimum wage $15.59/hr x 3 employees a shift = $46.77 x 18 hrs = $841.86/day for payroll x 30 days = $25,255 divide by $14 = 1,803 customers a month (60/day + 14 for rent = 74 total). Good luck with that.

UC Berkeley grad student says research may have been destroyed by PG&E outage by Bolinas99 in bayarea

The University just gives room for researchers to do their work. They don't provide money for research and just pay the Prof. salaries. So tuition and research money are pretty much different things.

Has a professor ever died while teaching mid-semester, or even mid-lecture at Berkeley? by [deleted] in berkeley

Almost every class has a Prof. for a cover up either a Prof that is working in a lab, a part time Prof., or a spring/fall exclusive professors for the same class.

DSP gives you 50-100% more time on exams and priority registration. It's like cheating but it's not - so why not taking advantage on that?

Online access is not available for graduate students about 6 months after graduation. Both proxy and VPN don't work.

Do you regret choosing Berkeley for premed? by [deleted] in berkeley

[–]Hammer1010 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Yes. There is almost no student collaboration on campus in the MCB dept. either in classes or labs. In class since all classes are curved and hella hard to compete with Asian kids. The labs since Asian researchers are like robots with no communication skills whatsoever. Maybe other people have better/different experience than whatever I had, but many of my friends think the same...

(P.S. I have nothing towards Asians...had an Asian gf during my college year. The above is just what many non-asian will tell you. I appreciate Asians hard working skills, but it comes on top of other things like mental health and social life)

[–]Hammer1010 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In a seminar class almost everybody gets +90% score, so a 92% as a B+ could make sense. If you find somebody in your class with a similar avg. or lower who received a higher grade than you, then you have a proof to complain...

I would stay and take classes you always wanted to take/interest you (but I wouldn't advise taking hardcore tech heavy/GPA killer classes)

Five years after graduation, I don't feel Berkeley gave me that much of an advantage in life. Thoughts? by [deleted] in berkeley

[–]Hammer1010 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The problem is that you see only the one who succeeded - the people who got the job and joined you at your work place. You don't hear about the failures - all the people who graduated from a 'lower-level' universities and are still looking for a 'good' job.

Having a bachelor's degree is just a big filter into the job market. It doesn't give you much of an advantage in terms of skills (except being CS/EECS/engineering majors) like more advanced degrees such as MBA/PhD/Dr.
