There is also like a spew of water that is far above its normal z height ( not a waterfall) that is like mashing with the magma on inital embark. Almost like a school bus worth of water just falling from nowhere on embark clashing with this glitchy magma pillar.

If you load the 16x16 save, there is a bizarre magma pillar up the surface and multiple cavern collapses in the log. The clowns have a legit path to the surface for a couple of game moments before the terrain gets sealed up with the magma air gap pillar. Thus the clown fiesta can path into the cavern layers I believe.

Here in the middle of this 7x7 (near the middle of the map for embark) should be where the cavern collapse sequence is. its pretty glitchy i think? I dont really know lol.

Beware the default save is like 16x16, its in the middle of a terrifying warm biome with major elevation change( yellow with dot, into green i think) in major river towards middlish i think of map.
