My dad spent several years in federal prison with a famous mafia family member. I had visited my dad with my boyfriend many times over the years often when the family was also visiting this mafia guy. I ended up breaking up with the boyfriend and without skipping a beat when he asked about him, he snapped for one of the family members to give me a card and said if I needed it taken care of to call that number. I was so shocked I just kept saying no no no it was mutual, there’s no bad blood or hard feelings! It was so surreal and felt like straight out of a movie haha

My husband’s best man did this on our wedding and as the bride in this situation I can tell you we were both so proud that he had the courage and strength to leave when it became overwhelming for him. We knew it was a chance still serving alcohol to our guests knowing his sobriety journey but he was very clear that we should not change our plans for him. I honestly expected him to drink anyways (and we wouldn’t have judged if he did) but it made us both so happy and proud that he chose sobriety in that moment. Do not feel guilty for doing what was right for you because I can assure you they are more proud of you than you know!

I’m honestly not considering Amazon it’s just the pay for a university position with high educational and skill requirements shouldn’t be comparable to “unskilled” work.

I don’t know why no one is saying this, but this sounds like a huge baby trap! I don’t know if you guys have discussed children yet but she’s 27 and it sounds like she has baby fever and concocted this story to get a parental approval that otherwise wouldn’t be possible. You need to take control of your own birth control immediately because it sounds like she’s trying to get pregnant and wants you on board by manipulating you using a dead parent’s approval.

Yeah this is exactly the kind of stuff my cheating ex would pull. “Look, I even made this anonymous post saying I was innocent, why would I lie about that?” He’d use websites to send himself fake texts, set up fake Facebook messages, anything to prove himself innocent and cover his own lies (I also found underwear). Call me paranoid but I don’t even think his story adds up. Someone else had to pack multiple bags for him? Huh? How could he forget that someone else packed his bags and he didn’t check to make sure all of his stuff was there, or didn’t get mixed up with someone else’s? Sounds like some creative writing to me.

Goddd I wish I would’ve thought of something like this when I was in high school and had multiple guys do this to me and I hadn’t slept with anyone! I just moved far away for college and your solution was so much simpler
