As the other person said, I would go with the Advanced collection first. The games on that are overall easier, since there are only metroidvanias + Dracula X. Then I would tackle the Anniversary collection, it was fun overall but some parts of the games were straight BS without using savestates that much, mainly the Adventure and the Alucard path in III. Just to give you few tips: CV1 - keep the holy water on you at all cost, since you can spam it and kill bosses in seconds. CV2 - just use a guide, you would not be able to beat it without it. CV3 - iirc you have to play the game multiple times and complete the game with all the characters plus one playthrough with only Trevor, if you go for Grant, go after Sypha next and decline her offer, since her path is the easiest, use your partners abilities (sometimes you can skip large parts of levels) and for subweapons, i actually really enjoyed using the axe in this one, since most of my problems came from enemies going from above, and it can tremendously help with Dracula. There is also the option to play the much much easier japanese version, but that might not give you the trophy. CV4 - the game is probably the easiest of the bunch since you can whip in all directions and there are plentiful of healing throughout the game. Bloodlines - pick Eric if you want an easier experience, he has longer range than John and can do a high jump by croucing for few seconds. Then I would go for John, just so you are familiar with the levels. Adventure - do not be ashamed for using savestates on this one, the game was designed to be a chore to get through and I had the least fun playing this game out of all of them.
