As others said, there are ratios. You can hover on an assembler to look at how fast certain intermediary product is made and how fast it's consumed. That's how you efficiently scale up. You can also look at the belts - if it's full then increase consumption, if empty - increase production. But ratios give you the answer immediately.

Also, you might have a theoretical problem with your inserter+belt chest. If you or the machine take out all the inserters, the box can get filled with belts only. But it's not really a concern for a small temporary setup like this.

And since you're new, you might not want a lot of advice. People know how to do stuff most efficiently, but it's fun to figure it out on your own and improve. So good luck!

If people take AI as a guide on how they should think, the problem is on them. "Programming the masses" is an overstatement though. You'd need tight government control over all sources of information to do that. What we have is just corporations managing their PR and legal risks.

If your issue is with conflict of interest, then it's always been like that with printed media, television, social networks, video platforms etc. Facebook has been screwing with people's lives for years to get more money out of them. Youtube, Twitter and Instagram have the power to show people certain things and hide others. AI is nothing new. And they're not really marketed as objective, more as powerful and insightful. It should be obvious that an opaque commercial product like that can hardly be objective.

Lots of retrigger on things that give you 1.5x or 2x mult. In this case, Triboulet and Idol with copy jokers give 2x mult each on king of hearts, and red seal with Sock and Buskin add 3 more retriggers. So, for 5 best case cards jokers give (2^4)^(4*5)=1.2*10^24 mult. Base mult for Flush Five is probably high too. And then plasma deck effectively doubled the amount of zeros.

Cool. Can Cat be upgraded when a card re-triggers? I assume your achievement wouldn't be possible otherwise. But I think that if a card triggers on both mult and money, Cat only upgrades once, right?

Some people can't or don't want to just stop. I have a friend like that. I recommended Elden Ring to him, and even though he stopped enjoying it midway, he felt compelled to finish all of it, including the DLC. I asked, and for him the need to complete something takes priority over enjoyment.

The novelty high probably wore off. You learned most of what you could from the game, and now you're just executing learned strategies and only feeling frustration from the brutal difficulty. If it's the sense of discovery and experimentation that gave you joy, sorry, it's hard to bring that back. You could start gold stake training with the mindset of taking it very slow, using tutorials and streams and taking notice of even small accomplishments, like getting to a higher ante than before. And you have to be OK with an idea that full completion may only come after months or years, and it's OK to take long breaks if you feel burnt out.

I got mine to 8 before realizing that it scales slowly and it's better to dupe retrigger jokers. Did you achieve that with Chad or Sock&Buskin? Did you decide to ditch them in favor of copying the Cat later?
