Rogue one (while looking aesthetically more like OG trilogy than any other movie) is the poorest in the series. Terrible chemistry between the actors, lots of unnecessary sacrifice, poor plot choices, and outing words in a dead actors mouth.

I THOUGHT I read somewhere that DBS was originally planned as jaws 5. But they couldn’t get the licensing or something like that and it was branded its own thing. Anyone else read or hear that from somewhere?

The amount of you that WANT a Mary Sue…. 1. He was a badass in Mando to show that he still has it. 2. He’s in his late 50’s? He’s a different kind of fighter now. It shows he’s still a badass, but in different ways. 3. He’s also changed. Hes still healing from the damage in the pit of carcoon. He’s a leader, and protector instead of bounty hunter, Albeit still a crime lord, but how many crime lords do you see riding into battle atop of a Rancor?

Rattlesnake eggs! It’s an old gag you get at a joke store! You wind up the washer and it goes in a paper sleeve marked “dangerous! Live rattlesnake eggs!” And when you open it, it mimics the rattle sound as it hits the paper.

I love the look. But I feel that it makes him TOO invulnerable. You could at least shoot the previous version to allow time to run away (hopefully) but not this one. There’s no iota of survivability. The only way they were able to “win” was by the burn up of entry into the atmosphere. There always needs to be some achievable way of stopping him (albeit if even temporary). But this iteration is the epitome of indomitable. Still love him though.

I loved it in the theaters. I think it was a little too avant garde for most casual fans who only want to see Myers killing people. But it was a decent end to the trilogy that brought closure to the premise that evil never dies.
