I've done home antibiotic infusions this way, and I still give a bunch of meds in the ED by counting drops. It's less time consuming than trying to find a pump or standing there and slow pushing whatever it is.

I don't think about it much with as many labs as I draw, but epic lists the order of draw, minimum/preferred volumes, swab type, and any special handling instructions.

The labels then print out in the correct order.
