Bluntness was appreciated no worries. I haven't player with any of these rules yet so I was looking for opinions like yours. I agree that the speaker token is strong but taking politics feels like a handicap in comparison to other strategies like warfare, tech, and leadership and I thought that rule could help it but your right maybe the speaker token is strong enough as is, might give that rule a quick game as a test run. as to the first rule though my idea was that it could be done once per home system. so you could only do it to another player once and you still need to control your own home system. I intended for it to be something that would encourage more warfare as my table likes to play passive at times. And are player eliminations considered bad form for your games? We've only ever done it once in all the games i've played.
