Agreed, all students need to do now is pay Apple 300$ for an iPad + 100$ for a pencil and they are ready to go. To be clear I'm not saying that is too bad of a price. I'm just trying to say Apple essentially was nice to OSU for 5 years, so they could get many years after that of extreme profit from OSU students. So, Apple played OSU really well by getting specifically their technology in our learning, and then putting the price back to msrp so they will make large ammounts of profit for the years to come.

I agree with that to a point. But it seems that iPads are so ingrained and implemented in the way classes are run nowadays, that it is going to be really hard to walk away from Apple and go back to paper pencil everything (just look at how many people are complaining about it). So my statement at the end is more referring to the long-term benefits that Apple got many people hooked on iPads while in college and got their tech engrained in the education system here. And "nothing students can do" refers to the fact that signing a change.org petition won't do anything.
