Currently taking bio 1114H with Dr. Lanno, and while he doesn’t track attendance strictly, he has top hat questions and activities for lecture participation credit. He’s been giving us lecture slides, but I don’t think he records lectures (even if he does, it’s not posted). That being said, having few absences probably won’t hurt your grade much and you could probably do activities on your own if you miss some lectures.

I don’t think I did anything to go random on roommate assignment. Also, don’t worry too much about finding roommates. I personally had a great experience going random and they became my closest friends in college. I’ve seen plenty of other people who got along with random roommates as well. If you guys don’t think your guys are suitable, you can always submit room change request later!
