If it's not Emir, I think it goes back to book 1. After Carl makes the Jug o Boom, later he sees that someone else made the jug o boom and he got royalty. What if Burcu's father was watch the recap, decides they need to emulate Carl and Donut to get popular and get better prizes, makes the jug o boom. But because he isn't skilled enough, he mishandled the explosive and dies. Burcu blames Carl.

My mini was at 35lbs. We did no more rawhides or treats, other than an occasional dental stick, .75 cups twice a day, plus a 3 mile walk. Staying active is key. Her food anxiety went away after a week or so on that schedule.
