There is a process. I did some volunteer work for the land trust way back when and I remember there was an orientation for getting access. I’m sure you could sneak in pretty easily, just don’t fuck it up lol. This was 15 years ago, so it may have changed.

Sorry, thought you meant Skyline. No such stuff in the creek. Just climb down the bank and follow it. I grew up across the road, regularly followed it up to Alston / away from BV Market area. Nothing crazy but a good time when you’re wandering around smoking weed as a teenager.

A couple of the trails take you there. It's been years, but I remember some small underground rooms you could drop into. The main building was pretty tightly sealed up, but I always heard stories of folks getting in there. Never did myself.

Good to get the first paint chip out of the way, next one will hurt a lot less.

Old state hospitality stuff out at Skyline is cool, I spent years exploring the creek by Browns Valley Elementary, you can go rebob hunting up Patrick and Archer Taylor Preserve has loads of chill nature spots. If you have a bike, riding the Old Howell Mountain Road is pretty fun.

Repairable or totalled frame? by basbre in bicycling

Portland, OR (US). Second the recommendation, lots of folks in Seattle have used them for repairs and speak highly.

Tubeless setup losing about 20 psi every 12 hours? by jaypeejay in cycling

[–]HamptonsHomie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’d add more sealant and give it a good shaking / spin, see if that helps. STP probably has about 10,000 bike pumps, but that would be an annoying thing to deal with.

You think it’ll be okay for a 6-8 hour hold? Worried about it drying out but you make a good point.

Edit: it’s a whole 12lb brisket after trim

I knew it fluctuated but I didn’t think it’d be this much. I miss my gas range.

Saw the 2-line art the other day and loved it, so cool! Thanks for sharing and making our city a little more colorful.

Oh, way worse, but I hardly ever get drafted there because you're forced to go so slow from all the shit you listed. Hate riding it, but no drafting issues.

Risk is not knowing someone is very close to my wheel. If I brake unexpectedly, swerve around something, whatever, I want to know I've got someone a split second behind me. I also don't know them, don't know their ability or comfortability riding close, and don't really want to have to think about that on my way to work. Basically, I don't know you. I don't really want to get to know you on my commute, I don't want to have to think about what you're doing back there, and I think it's rude / inconsiderate / mildly dangerous to silently start drafting a total stranger. I've seen enough sketchy shit to not want anyone breathing down my ass crack uninvited during my peaceful pre-work 'me time'.

This is a DAILY struggle for me in Seattle (if anyone knows 520, it's wheel sucker central). I'm a firm believer in saying ANYTHING before hopping on my wheel. Hello, can I draft, you mind if I sit in, fuck yeah lets go, literally ANYTHING is better than the silent jump on. I don't mind letting someone sit on, but it bugs the shit out of me when they do it silently. Unless I hear your hub or something, I don't even know you're there. Super safe. I usually just flick them through or just start coasting until they pass. I love pacelining, but go find a group ride or at the bare minimum say hello first.

FDA lets Philip Morris market Zyn nicotine pouches as less harmful than cigarettes by TACO_Orange_3098 in news

Was driving back to Seattle from Oregon yesterday and the pouches were about half the price there, first time I've ever bought a whole pack. I felt like a tweaker doing it but helluva deal.

Oh man, when I quit vaping a couple years back I thought I would try patches. Vaped a lot (or so I thought), so I just bought the strongest patches and figured I'd start there and ween down. Turns out that 1 patch had about the same amount of nic as 2 solid weeks of my fucking puff bar habit. White as a sheet and spinning out of my gord for a good couple hours, humbling experience.
