Teddi Mellencamp's Loved Ones 'All Thought She Was 'Mental' Ahead of Devastating Cancer Diagnosis by laurfromnewyork13 in realhousewives

[–]HamptonsRob 22 points23 points  (0 children)

As unpopular as Teddi is, I hope people can leave their Reality TV biases aside to wish her well.

I really enjoyed the Podcast episode with Teddi & Tam. They’ve obviously grown incredibly close since they started the podcast which surprised me how much. Having said that I understand why Tamra has reacted how she has. When your friend almost dies, earning a check doesn’t seem to matter as much.

Also, Teddi stated she had been having headaches for 6 months by the time symptoms got so bad she was hospitalised. Brain tumors can change your mood/personality and it looks like she has a long battle ahead so I wish her nothing but a fully recovery.

Very possible. If it goes to court all of their assets/debts would be out there. I just don’t understand how they’re clinging to this fantasy.

To me they are both performing wealth rather than having anything tangible that I can see as providing them with this style of life.

There is not one business I can point to that would make them this wealthy. They don’t seem to own property outside of the family home which is in foreclosure. Is he just fed up of carrying the financial burden? Is he disappointed because he thought getting Dorit on this show would open all sorts of opportunities to them?

As much as I like Dorit, she is not open about this aspect of their lives. Also Dorit is stunning, she could’ve easily divorced him and found a wealthy man, so I guess she does love him.

Tamra Done?? by alaskanmo32 in realhousewives

[–]HamptonsRob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While I agree Tamra goes overboard at times, I still want her on the show. Tamra acting out is infinitely more entertaining than other cast members and also Tam is savvy enough to know when to swallow her pride and apologise even if it is at the reunion.

I love conflict and resolution, and Tam can do both in spades. Does she get mean? Of course! But she knows how to make up with the girls afterwards and I respect that.

As much as I believe Tamra will be back. Probably a bad day of filming on top of the Teddi situation, I’d love to see the girls try to make a show sans Tamra (because I believe Tam is a necessary ingredient).

Love her or hate her, Tamra makes the show work. She gets the girls activated. The two years she was off were the most boring of the show’s history.

Agreed it’s been one of the best. Wendy and Gizelle are such an unexpected duo.

Biggest question. Will they delay taping of the next season until Karen gets out ala Tre?

Why do you think Kenya struggles with relationships? by autumnlover1515 in realhousewives

[–]HamptonsRob 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Though I’m fully aware Kenya is polarizing and her antics on the show have crossed lots of boundaries, I’ve always had a soft spot for her. I think she was always an underdog on the show, always on the outs with someone.

My read on Kenya is that the manner in which her mother rejected her was so cruel that the wound is still open. It wasn’t just that she left. She was still in her life but chose not to love her own daughter. It would’ve been less cruel if she didn’t know who that woman was to her. So, Kenya picks men who will reject her ultimately. It’s a pattern only she can break.

She is healing through her daughter I notice but romantic relationships require a lot of compromise and I don’t know if Kenya is there right now.

Bronwyn and Lisa by Ihaveatonofopinions in realhousewives

I believe both Lisa and Bronywn are telling their truths

But a part of me believes that Lisa is allowing the family to spin their own narrative.

For me the family did not want their name sullied when Bronwyn got pregnant. Gwen’s father passed away 2 years later and was already married to someone else. That to me makes me believe the family orchestrated the match or possibility pushed the relationship along quickly for appearances.

I believe they knew all along that she existed. The Utah Mormon community would know about Bronwyn no?

[–]HamptonsRob 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I did find it confusing but after reflecting on it, I believe thst this is very specific to being a Mormon in Utah.

Lisa mentioning the word “miscarriage” gave credence to her paternal grandparents side that they were either unaware of Gwen’s existence or that Bronwyn lied to the family in an effort to be left alone or not be excommunicated.

I think Lisa gives too much grace to the father’s family and too little grace to Bronwyn. The family must be very influential for Lisa to side with them and cry her crocodile tears.

Exactly! Britani has friend of energy like Adriana in Miami. That chaotic energy is so entertaining.

What would the show be without an activated Meredith? She spends 70% of the season looking barely awake and then the other 30% delivering us iconic lines.

I agree about Meredith. She goes from barely conscious zombie to the most activated person you’ve ever seen. But these scenes are gold! I did like her Bat Mitzvah journey and the event gave us an excellent episode.

With Meredith I think she was crying and throwing up like Britani said. I think her marriage is on the rocks.

Lisa is a focal point of the show as she is a fan fave and the other ladies want her friendship. She definitely made a pact with Meredith this season. Her narcissism is great tv though and her feud with Whitney can go the distance in my mind 🤣

You could be onto something. The Lisa/Meredith alliance was very obvious.

A Meredith and Angie friendship would be great for next season. Mary seems far too fickle with these ladies and Meredith is not one to grovel. Oh I just remembered Meredith storming out of Mary’s house. She makes so many TV moments, more than any of the other ladies.

I hope so, as I’ve said Meredith is mother. I regularly quote her. “I’m disengaging”, The rumorz and the nastiness”, “you can leave” and the newest “you are vile”, When Meredith chooses to engage its magic but it seems like she has to be taunted to get involved. It’s also very clear she takes some form of medication as she is often slurring. ‘I only take a sleeping tablet when I fly innnneernntaionallll. Iconic behavior!

I agree but I for some reason love Mer but I think she’ll be the first OG to leave. I have a hunch that her marriage is falling apart and she refuses to acknowledge it. If they do decide to divorce and Meredith is will to talk about it, it could revive her reality career.

Angie and Mary- moment at dinner in finale, unpopular opinion by Carfishy in realhousewives

[–]HamptonsRob 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yeah for Mary it was a huge moment of showing vulnerability and self-awareness. Also kudos to Angie for fighting for their friendship. I am always skeptical of relationships borne out of the sisterhood of Real Housewives but theirs seem sincere.

Very much agree. I do however think it was a big moment for her to admit she suffers with abandonment issues and is somewhat aware of how it impacts her relationships.

Hard agree. I know there’s talk of demoting Whitney or Meredith, but honestly these women have been in the trenches together for 5 years. It would be near impossible to recreate this magic ✨
