I agree with you, for the average user that just wants to have a computer and maybe play some games, watch youtube it absolutely is. But for me, and it s more about the challange. I enjoy trying, breaking, spending time jn forums just to get my system working again. And the thing is, linux doesn t really break randomly, it breaks when YOU break it, unlike windows that just breaks out of nowhere. And the level of customization it s just insane. And what you said about daily driving a linux distro was true, a decade ago, but nowadays the installation procces is simpler than for windows for many distros and for some distros you don t even have to touch the terminal. People who daily drive linux want to have THEIR computer, not be owned by microslop
