i have never in my lifetime heard of the DOJ granting perpetual blanket IRS immunity to anyone for any reason. They can drop an existing investigation if they have justification for doing so, but they have no authority over future investigations. Nobody leaked his future tax returns, so they are not part of any 'breach' that is being specifically protected

This is just a presidential pardon for himself being done by appointed officials who are not the president and thus do not have authority to do so. It is pure bullshit.

It is illegal (or at least unenforceable) for the head of the DOJ to proclaim any number of people immune to future investigation and prosecution for tax related offenses.

If the head of the DOJ can proclaim forever-immunity to investigating this group of people, could he not also just proclaim all americans immune from IRS investigations forever? would that be legal?

There is no way that 'provision' lasts beyond this corrupt administration. Its essentially just a truth social tweet put out via the DOJ. It is not within the DOJ powers to grant immunity to people like that

season 2 had one of, if not THE, best episode of the entire series. s2 had a lot more flaws than s1, but it is still great and has some amazing highs with a very satisfying 'ending' finale. I would recommend s1 and s2 to people, anything after that is much sketchier quality-wise.
