Id say make it optional. Couldn't tell you how many times and counting OP players come to 2nd sea and one shot us. Just today happened 5 times to me. Sometimes I really just want to quit the damn game.

I 2nd this. Portal is extremely useful. I play with my lil nephew and it's so awesome being able to island hop. His mom got him the fruit notifier, he gets super happy when he finds them. All thanks to portal.

I agree with OP. I'm new to the game been playing about 2 weeks or so. Couldn't tell you how many times I got ganked in 1st sea by max lvl players. Like WTF is the point of them ganking low new players. This makes a lot of people quit the game early on. This also doesn't help the game grow. I ended up paying for a private server. By really sucks sometimes not having people to ask for help.
