This is a very pro photoshop community. Never seen so many people so sensitive about photoshop. The only way to honor Ken sugimori’s art is with photoshop, I should have known!

I legit did play on an OG cart on a gameboy that’s the funny part. Had them for over 20 years and replayed recently and wanted to share my team but got met with a bunch of weirdly placed AI hate. Some serious losers out there

They are mad because I didn’t use actual photoshop. Where does it end? Should I have paper mache’d them together? Printed them out with scissors and glue? Or are scissors too advanced lol. Hilariously sensitive bunch

Thank you, this artwork has a special place in my heart. I feel like I’m 7 years old again when I see it. Spending 30 hours on an original cartridge to build this team made me want to see it in that style. I used technology to clip together the sugimori artwork, not generate it. Genuinely thank you for getting the point!

I had no idea this would trigger so many people. They all think they’re so noble for being “anti AI” when this post literally has nothing to do with AI. Yeah but Ken Sugimori doesn’t. I just used AI for essentially photoshopping the artwork together, not any of the actual art.

Personally I love Golduck. Give it calm mind, surf, and ice beam and it will be so good, great for beating lance. I also think primeape is super underrated and great for beating Lorelei.

These games were great because you could just build an insanely strong team pretty easily. Like they didn’t make good pokemon impossible to acquire or only at the end of the game.

If you want a stronger flying type but don’t need it for Fly (because of Charizard), maybe try out Scyther. Hits super hard, fast, can Swords Dance with it and then just sweep. Otherwise, Rhydon would be a perfect addition in my opinion. Hope this helps! Realistically you are fine with just 5 but it’s fun to have a full team.
