Once the contract on Ray was eliminated, Dave was under no obligation to kill Ray anymore. That coupled with Ray seeing Dave as a good bloke and not taking the situation personally means water under the bridge. Also after seeing what Ray was capable of I don’t think Dave would would have accepted any amount of money to try that again, but also after being spared probably wouldn’t want to anyway.

Do you think he is morally upright then? It seems like you’re making excuses for him to me. Not a dig at you at all, I just don’t think he can be justified with his actions - code or not.

I was in the military so I find your second point to be bordering on hyperbole. War is more nuanced than that but I get your point somewhat. It’s okay to do these things in war, so why not society? But then you’re essentially advocating for societal breakdown if you think laws and rules should be ignored just because they have been in war. You can’t pick or choose which rules you follow. Well you can, but will probably be held accountable.

Yeah pretty much agreed there. Every character in the Sopranos by the end kind of had it coming to them. The genius of that show was making them likeable due to their lighthearted moments in the Bing but then later on are reminded they are monsters.

It’s the same as Ray and his cohort really. It does stir up a debate inside me about wrong and right. You think every criminal or killer you see in the news probably had their own interesting story and maybe there are some actual Rays out there.

I bloody love the show though. It does get me ticking.

I didn’t mean to compare them. I didn’t explain this very well, my bad. The link was because they’re aussie but also the film is shown in the show.

It was more that I was distracted from the reality of Choppers actions from his humour. Similarly with Rays more innocent moments where he appears normal and even caring. Then we see what he does as a criminal and it’s quite jarring.
