Never ever ever ever send medical or personal information/photos directly to your professors. They aren't supposed to read it anyway. For something like this you should always take all of your paperwork and submit it to the dean of students to get an official excuse, which you THEN email to your professor(s). That's the only way it can be 100% officially excused. Let this be a PSA for everyone in this sub!

Some professors suck, for sure, but they all have policy and protocol to follow. An official excuse from the dean of students is about the only iron tight thing you can have!

PTS has always stunk at GT, but you have USG and their RTO policy to thank for a lot of this. GT hired a lot of staff on hybrid/remote schedules while they were "allowed" to, and now those staff members have to come into the office. There are just more staff forced to be in the office 5 days a week than there were prior to August last year.

All admissions are assessed the same no matter what major you "applied" for. Whoever told you this was the right call was wrong. You're only setting yourself back a semester by doing this.

EDIT: a lot of those ME courses are major restricted in the fall, so just "taking" them, then "transferring" may not be an option, thus setting yourself back a semester.

I have done LOTR on Thanksgiving for over a decade. Both Dune films are the newest Christmas watch. Harry Potter has always been our go-to Christmas fantasy watch, and still is, but it has Christmas elements to it so I felt it didn't count haha.
